Hello,
again I`m starting a thread concerning the early radar equipment fumo29- the antenna which is covering the front of the tower and of course the emblem...When starting a campaign in 1941 automatically the viic boat has the FUMO29, which is quite unrealistic (available only in 1942). It must be possible to edit the starting configuration af a submatine but I don`t know how. Is nobody able to give an advice? Another question: When starting a campaign with a VIIb boat the tower belongs to a viic boat. Is there a mod available which changes that?

because there were no more replies to my older thread. Now the theme is again visible on the first page. And has you noticed I added another question about the conning tower. So, do you have a solution for it or not?

TheBeast has, some time ago, included in his Eqipment Upgrade Fix a workaround (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=1780254&postcount=146) to the known issue of FuMO antenna covering sub emblems. If TheBeast couldn't find any other fix to it, I strongly doubt that someone else will.

Two extra personal remarks, if you don't mind:

- your insisting in posing the very same question in multiple threads, and your doubting on the answers that other members have already provided, will not help you to get a better solution, nor boost your popularity here. ;)

- had you asked/searched in the proper thread, your answers would have received a faster and more satisfactory reply. :yep:

I have now two threads running and my first one has no replies for a longer time so it is obviously dead. But the problem I want to get rid of can`t be so difficult, so many bugs have been solved by the community. But you can be sure, if nobody has a tip for me I will fall silent - I promise you!

I hope, like you, that the issue on topic will be solved once and for all. Moreover, everyone here is well accepted and encouraged to express his ideas and to pose his questions, so please don't feel like having to fall silent.

What I am trying to explain, is that you should try to direct your voice to the proper recipient, so to distinguish it from the general hubbub, and to increase your probability of success. Using an example, dialing n times the same (wrong) phone number won't help you getting in touch with the person you are looking for.

In our case, the correct 'number' is the thread I have already suggested to you. Its OP is TheBeast, author of Equipment Upgrades Fix and probably the modder who know more in depth equipment related issue in SH5. If you decide to post there, please be patient enough to wait a few days for an answer by TheBeast or by someone else. :up:
