i've been in marinesims, but i cant understand german.

It looks like this completely replaces FM New Interior. It doesn't have the extra crew FlakMonkey put in, but it does have every compartment.

I've been exploring inside this mod and it containts only two files which i think are the 3d models of the new compartments. As there isnt any cam or command files i think it can be activated after FM_new interior without any problem. I will check it later and then post here the results from my test.

yes i can confirm, you would install this ontop of FM interior, it seems to work and is stable, replaced is RR.dat and CR.dat

Yes, he mentioned it in one single post over there like "...Oh, btw, I completed the interior, get your copy here..."

It works like a charm. Some FPS dropping in the Shift F2, but nothing serious...

I couldn't get this working properly without using the 4gb patch for the sh3.exe.

All I got was static crew men with arms spread out in a black void together with a framerate of approx. 1. (Using ATI 6870 Video Card on 64bit Windows 8)

The 4gb patch fixed it despite previously being able to run FM Interiors without patching.

Anyway...

I noticed this works without FM Interiors but the engine room does not animate. Installing the mod over the top of FM Interiors gives me the new compartments and the animated engines.

Where I am struggling is with moving through the ship with a free camera. I usually use Extended FreeCam 1.2 for GWX. However, I have since been using DD_OH_V3.09_20091209162038 which I can only seem to get working by installing as the first mod before FM & CCom_8.

Problem is if I then installed Extended FreeCam 1.2 for GWX as my last mod it overwrites the arrow key movements and I can no longer move. Clicking on the floor nolonger works as it did with FM Interiors either since CCoM_8 seems to break that and clicking the floor now just ports me to the engine room.

How do I get this mod working with animated engines, the new compartments, open hatch and retain the ability to have a free movement camera?

My current mod load out and order is...

Installing the mod over the top of FM Interiors gives me the new compartments and the animated engines.
That's good to hear!

all FM animations are working, however, the open conning tower is gone. Some one had added Luca's open conning tower mod to the FM interior, unfortunately this is not present in this release. So the boat is not complete alas, so close. Perhaps this can be fixed

also another glitch just notices, crew is stationed at the diving planes while cruising on the surface, something wrong in the animation

press shift f2 I took fm interior out, slow machine, just walk through walls I also set graghics on low texture and you can't really tell the difference in quaility,, frame rate is 30 and change in new compartments but drops off in the control room, I found that if you pan back out of the new compartments it is not as choppy as if you turned around and went back.

UPDATE:

So if you just use the RR.dat file (this contains the foward torpedoroom and aft torpedo rooms) and do not use the CR.dat, but use FM original file you will have both working together. Installing this way, I now have the open coning tower (provided you are using the modified FM file) and also some other nice things that come with Aces mods (urfishes fire effects, FM light maps, etc)

also crew manning the bow planes will leave their station when on surface as should be

but heres the issue-while you can see the new compartments, you cannot walk into them with out getting a "camera out of sectors" error.

So perhaps someone can modify the camera to go into these new areas?:salute:

Does anyon e know the differences between the Control room dat file included in this mod and the stock one?. I konow what's been added in the RR.dat but not the CR.dat.

Edit: also if some kind soul could take pity on a sad old git and give me a few pointers about the RR.cam file then I'd be much obliged I tried looking at the one in FM interiors in S3ditor but it wouldn't open , maybe it has been hex edited?.

Im afraid this fix is not working for me.. I've noticed from your modes list you have the new torp rooms loaded after conning tower open hatch test fm food. when I have it in this order I cant go into the conning tower hatch closed and camera out of sector warning. do you have this?
thanks for trying to fix this, the boat will be perfect after this problem is solved.

Hi mate, I'm not using the CR.dat file in the CCom mod only the RR.DAT and also try a type 7c boat as that's what I'm using and have tested.

I'm using the CR.DAT as loaded by my Super Turms 6 mod.

So you could try renaming ther CR.DAT in CCom mod to .bak or something assuming that you are using the CR.DAT as installed by Superr Turms

I have done the above, using only the RR.Dat from the CCom Mod. I can go into the compartments new about half way and get the our of sectors message. But nothing goes black, I just cannot go any further.

Install order as per my previous posting with this fix mod after FM Interiors, Open Hatch Conning Tower FM Food and CCom mods.

Basically it re-adds my CR.DAT file as included with my Super Turms v6 mod, the one that adds, urfisch's damage/water drops etc. but with one key difference. The internal camera clip selector values have been changed to match those of the CCom mod.

This version also includes Damo's lighting effects. If you don't want these I can re-release my "normal" (non Damo's) version as included in the base Super Turms v6 mod tommorow as an alternative fix mod but try this first, I love his lighting effects.

I love the atmospheric lighting and water drips.. Brilliant. problem is I still get out of sector warning in conning tower. Ive tried all configerations, new torp rooms before and after conning tower open hatch fm test.
I only have the RR.dat for the torp rooms. am I doing something wrong?
Yes it is a type B but would that make any difference?

Hi mate,

Assuming that you are using v2.1 of my fix mod (link in previous posting)

Type b shouldn't make any difference but I will check this evening, you are correct, only use the RR.DAT from the torpedo rooms mod and not the CR.DAT (but that will be replaced by the fix anyway so it doesn't really matter). What I suggest is installing my Damo's lighting add-on which is included in my Super Turms 6 mod as an optional mod.

Download all three parts and run Part01 to unzip the contents.

You will also have Super Turms 6 and all that comes with it if you are interested and assuming that you don't already have it.

This mod: "Aces' Super Turms v6 Damo's Type 7 Atmospheric Interior lighting add-on" includes both CT.DAT and CR.DAT both with Damo's lighting, urfisch's damage/water drips, open hatch to conning tower and some of my work etc.. Then install my fix mod and let it install the CR.DAT that it includes over the one in Damo mod.

You will then end up with the CT.DAT from the Damo lighting add-on mod, the CR.DAT from my fix mod and the RR.DAT from the CCom torpedo rooms mod.

This is the combination that I'm running.

Please try and report back, in the meantime I'll have a look at the type 7b but IIRC they both use the same Interior .DAT files. Also, have a look at my mod install order below and post your install order if it differs from this.

For those with an interest (and S3ditor) and if I understand correctly, if you open up the CR.DAT file and select the "Interior root - COMMAND ROOM" node. Have a look at the Interior Camera Clip Sector settings on the right. The model is orientated with X left/right (port/starboard), Z axis front/back (fore/aft), Y axis up/down. So increasing both the Z min and Z max values will allow the camera to travel further forward and backwards, increasing the Y min and Y max values will allow the camera to look further up/down or rather it increases the "bounds/limits" to which the camera view extends before being out of sector. So, for the torp. room mod both Z min and Z max must be increased in the fix (note for min values the minus number must be increased) and, in order for the camera to "see" further up into the conning tower for the open hatch mod the Y max must be increased in the fix mod. Leave the X values alone unless you want to set the left/right bounds outside of the boat.

I have the Aces v6 and the mod pack downloaded some months ago, but the "Aces' Supplement to V16B1 MaGUI v3.4 Compat add-on" isnīt in it. I donīt know if there is another version of that pack. Iīll download your Aces SuperTurms v6 from the link in this thread.

Also, I have MaGUI 3.4 and Widescreen MaGUI, and I havenīt the mod "Water Drops Blur Effect MaGUI v3.4 Widescreen Compat" as an optional.

Until now, I use Magui 3.4 plus Widescreen and SuperTurms v6 with the H.sie V16B1 patch and I didnīt see any problem. What do your mod?

Thanks Aces All is running well now thanks to your little tutorial regarding cam sectors, I changed the Y axes values on your fix to match those in the open hatch mode, and now, Bobs your uncle, all fine.. Thanks again.

That's interesting because I used the values from the open hatch mod in my v2.1 fix as I also run this mod and it worked for me, maybe you have a different version, either way, glad it works for you.

Its is a basic mod by "Tomi_099", but with his permission it has been released by "MCHALO12. You can download ist HERE (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=1972092&postcount=191). Then go to folder "MCHALO12".
