:har:
About your problem with diving,
Crank up the main ballast flood speed in s3d.
But don't go overboard or you will dive too deep!

hmm, maybe because it is a HUGE NUCLEAR POWERED UNDERSEA CRAFT TRIPLE THE SIZE OF A FLEETBOAT so it is supposed to dive that way?! but if you prefer to play arcade....

In fact, as I said in my request thread, the problem is not that it takes long, I would indeed understand a long dive time for those huge subs.

No, the thing is that their behavior seems to be erratic. First dive takes 6min30sec, second dive 40 sec, as do 3rd and 4rth dive, then suddenly, fifth dive takes 6min30sec again...

Yet, the way I see it, that kind of subs are meant to stay submerged, so this not such a big issue. And they rock anyway ! :woot:

yes they do rock ....no one is disputing that fact

i would assume that the dive rates are erratic because the main ballast flood / drain speed is linked to the same rate as the fleet boats in the game engine

and Jhapprich your work is great but in all things you have striven for realism are you saying that its realistic that these BIG HUGE NUCLEAR BOATS took sever hours to submerge? :D

well, they dive just fine on my system where they were made. why they don`t on yours, who knows.. but 7 hours to dive thats odd indeed *grübel*:hmmm:

6.5 but i rounded up

has to do with main ballast flood speed

thinking of removing and reinstalling and seeing if that helps
