Hi Liam :salute:

congratulations for your tour. WOW Somalia is quite an hot place for a training mission. By any chance have you met any Somali pirate vessel? :arrgh!:

Talking about your brand new mod (i've just downloaded it), I've noticed that it is not compatible with TheBeast/sober's sub deck splash and bubbles. Have you talked with them and see if you can merge the changes you respectively introduced in shared files, so to have one common mod, or even two mutually compatible mods?

Besides it, before today we had already two big environmental mods: Real Environment and Dynamic Environment. Back in the days, Dynamic Environment was an all-around mod. It introduced a quite complex and totally original weather/climate zones system, merging it with some of the most appreciated previous mods that were addressing single aspects of SH5 environment. Real Env itself is mostly included in Dyn Env (what users sometimes missed to understand due to their reluctancy to read documentation :03:).

Nowadays DynEnv is slightly updated, since from its release some little problems, now partially fixed, arose, and some very good environmental tweaks by sober were introduced in game. They are mostly compatible with DynEnv though, and I got the permission to merge them into it by their own author (what I missed to do due to my inborn lazyness :D).

Forgive me for my immodesty but, even considering its drawbacks, my all in all opinion is that DynEnv is still the SH5 standard that any new environmental mod should match with. So, going to the point, if you think that your mod improved something of it, why don't you make your changes compatible with it? I (and so I think stoianm) don't have any problem providing you with the details you would need for tweaking its files. :)

Cheers,
Gabriele

im still in my learning curve of modding
making things compatible will be a next leap for me

thanks for pointing those things out for me

Pirate vessels there draft is to shallow for our torpedo's
and we need te be under attack or need an order to fire
and we can detonate our torps remotely
but those little boat would be rocketed sky high:D
would like to see that:haha:
