lost my crew voice responses

I'm not quite aure when it happened, but I seem to have lost the sound responses to my orders. the telegraph doesn't ring when changing speed, and I don't get that annoying "Javool" response anymore.
has anyone experienced this "silent treatment" themselves?

Save and reload..
Before you save make sure you're on the surface, miles away from anything, including land.

thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try.
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the game and all mods, but to no effect. I'm still not getting any audible confirmation of my commands. at first I thought it was just related to the telegraph, but I just found out that all commands are responded to with silence.
can't figure it out and though it's not crucial, it's bugging the hell out of me not because I can't fix it!:/\\!!

I have the same problem last weekend.:)

first go to the folder DUCUMENT and save the file Sh3 file maybe on your Desktop!? After this delet the Sh3 file in the DOCUMENT folder and start Silent Hunter 3 normal.You can hear all sounds in Silent Hunter3.Now close Silent Hunter 3 copy and paste your savegames back in the Ducument folder.
