Anyone interested in having American submarines like the Gato Class and Balao Class, Tench, Growler, and S Class submarines have like forward torpedo rooms depicted, crew quarters, engine room, and everything else? I would like to see the forward torpedo room, instead of this green screen thingy that when you click on it, crashes the game. It's a terrible sight. I would like to see the forward torpedo rooms, crew quarters, and engine compartments depicted and a better job of damage control, where the crews just don't sit around and wait for the submarine to take on water. I would like to also have these quarters so that I can see the damage myself.
I would like to see the enlisted men that are the heart of the submarine. The other men that I never see on the ship. I never get to see the submarine in its full glory.
I would like to see the full submarines.
This would be a dream come true! I believe it was Flackmonkey who made extra compartments and animated engine room for SH3. Seeing that, makes me want to reinstall SH3 again! I wish someone could do that here.

Me too!
Some had tried, but, if I am correct, it always was a "lone wolf" effort, and most likely for u-boats :hmph: Maybe if a team could get together to do it, such project could be finally done.
Captain America was working on just this sort of thing a while ago. He seemed to be making great progress, but disappeared and hasn't been seen since. A tragic victim of burnout, I suppose. There were some really beautiful screen shots posted.
I had been looking forward to drifting off to sleep in the Captain's cabin, as the diesels hum.....:wah:

It's all there in that tmo gato interior mod except for the light switch I'm tired of tripping over stuff in there, how hard is it to put a light bulb in there.

Your crew must be really stingy to not allow you a light bulb, though now I think about it....If you get depth charged a lot it might explain their getting back at you :haha:
Now for a more series note, Having better compartments is needed, bout time we had a decent interior for all subs, I'm looking to model a bridge for my IJN Musashi mod, going to have here as highly detailed as possible.
let me know if anyone makes any progress on this, I would surely like to follow your idea. Keep up the good work :yeah:

Ahh, I play RFB, so I was unaware of this.

you can download the tmo gato interior here in subsim downloads, I believe Dimiscus made it looks to have some very good detail just click on the forward hatch in the control room very dim light though

A nice pilot house for ships would be nice, I like the fletcher and the brooklyn mods they have a nice bridge deck but, due to the lack of a pilot house it takes away from the realism, I know it's just a game but I'm spoiled with destroyer command and the surface mods of sh3, which have pilot houses.
