little mod questions.

i have a couple of questions regarding mods to fine tune sh-5 even more.

1 how do you remove the spiked antanna with Darkwriaths UI mod , it looks silly to have it extended every time when on periscope depth.

2 there was a way to reduce the extension of the attack periscope , its way to long as it is now , how was this done again?

3 with the radio paris mod i dont know how change the ini file to text file to add the nessecairy lines and back , how it this done?

have only for one an answer. Do you mean the antenna which looking out if you going on peri-depth?

Then you should use the R.E.M._byXrundel and the beast. That will fix it.

as I tried to explain a few days ago, an .ini file is already a text file: you don't need to convert it. In order to open it in notepad you can follow 3 methods:

1. right click on it / select 'open' from the following pop-up menu / check the 'select an installed program' radio button in the following menu, in order to display a list of default programs / select notepad from the list / if notepad is not listed there, you should press the 'browse' button and select manually the path to notepad.exe / in notepad, paste the new entries / Select 'save' when finished.

2. click twice on it with the left mouse button, in order to be able to modify the file name / select the file extension (i.e. the 'ini' suffix) / change it to 'txt' / press enter and doubleclick on the file for opening it in notepad / paste the new entries / save / change again the file extension from 'txt' to 'ini'.

3. Open notepad / Select 'open' from the menu 'file' / from the file type dropdown box select 'All (*.*)' / browse to the path of the ini file you want to edit, and select it / click on the 'open' button / paste the new entries / save

Easier to do it than to explain it ;)
Notice that the name of some options/buttons/menus in my description may be slightly diffrent than the ones used in your pc, since I am using a localized version of Windows 7 and I had to guess the best translation from italian to english. I hope I made myself clear this time :)

I fixed the radio paris and tried the equipment upgrade fix and R.E.M BY the beast ( installed R.E.M last but i still have the enoying spike antenna being raised . (alklthough it now longer raises at periscope depth) i wanna get rid of it all together. But thanks for all the other stuff guys!!
