View Full Version : What's used to open .zon files
I'm new to SH5 and was interested in how some of the code was done and attempted to look at a small .zon file unsuccessfully.
What is being used to look/edit .zon files? I have heard references made to Goblin Editor and S3G (I think that's what it's called) but have yet to find either and not sure what they're for. I did look on the internet for something to open .zon with but no joy.
What is being used?

Use Goblin Editor for editing SH5 .zon files. It was provided by devs together with the game, and it is found in the main SH5 folder. You should load the main gr2/dat file first, and then merge in it the respective zon file. Before playing with this tool I suggest you to have a look here (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=165805&page=3) for a basic tutorial on how to use it.
Though not being fully compatible with SH5, Silent 3ditor is another tool than can come in handy for editing some other unit parameters, and for much more. You can download it from here (http://s3d.skwas.com/downloads.aspx).
