Here is the attack map with the additional bearing markings displayed.

On the attack map, a bearing tool is of little use but on the nav map it really comes to use. The problem I have with the various bearing tool mods so far is that they all are offset just like the basic bearing tool on the attack map, none of them centres correctly either as can be seen when hydrophone lines are extended to intersect. The extra overlay enabled by hitting the ? icon however, seems to be both corectly centered and correctly showing the bearing. Note the disagreement between the two at various bearings.

Question then: Can that extra bearing tool be used as the base for a new, improved bearing tool, showing the correct bearings and with correct center?

First, thank you a bunch for the youtube vids on the 4 bearing method. Just needed to say that. I was looking for a solution for must have been 5 years or so but didn't have the maths but your vids and description led me to the article and solution so thanks. Also thank you for the MaGui, installed and enjoying it a lot. Now:

I thought I was familiar with Pato's bearing tool after getting must have been 3-4 versions all claimed to have been fixed so I confess I skipped that mod

Installed now and fantastic! After 6 years or so finally my crew and I agree on bearings :haha:
