Crew Size

In SH3 Commander you get the option to have realistic crews which include apparently, the number of crewmen on each boat. I believe the size of the crews are usually larger than what SH3 allows and I get a message I have to many sailors and have to go back and dismiss some.

Anyone know what file I screwed up in my install that is stopping this SH3 Commander option from working properly?

BTW: Love the stuff you modders are coming up with. I took a hiatus for a year or two and all the new stuff out there is incredible!

When you get that message in the Barracks screen look at the numbers for each category. You get to pick an extra officer and several petty officers. It's the regular sailors which have been reduced. It should tell you that you have 29 sailors and only 28 are allowed. Just dismiss one and you should be good to go.

Ah, okay. When I saw the extra sailors I thought it 1/2 of a feature to allow you to sail with over 28 and I was screwing up the other 1/2. I've been dismissing them, just didn't want to.

You can easily edit the number of crewmen in the basic.cfg in your data/cfg folder. For example my setup for the typ II:

NbVersion=2
