I'm using a fresh download of SH4 1.5 from Steam and when I add TMO2.5 it crashes when loading up. I get the following types of error messages:

"There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page ChooseLoadSave>!"

"There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page PlayerRank>!"

"There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page IntelegenceUnits>!"

"There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page WeaponsAndSensors>!"

"Menu ID not found: 0x6101000b!"

"Menu ID not found: 0x61010004!"

If I remove the TMO2.5 mod SH4 loads up correctly. Any suggestions?

sounds like you have a corrupted download of the mod or you have a corrupted game. delete the mod and reinstall the game then get a fresh new download of TMO.

dont forget to delete the sh4 folder in your documents before you reinstall the game so you dont have corrupted save files there

I managed to replicate one of your errors: I commented out one of pages in menu1024 768.ini and got series of errors saying "manu ID not found...". It looks like a problem with menu1024.ini file, but how that file got corrupted? Most likely the TMO file you downloaded is faulty (like Webster said) or maybe JSGME is installed incorrectly and it puts mods files in wrong place (but the mod would not get activated at all) or you are not using 1.5 version of SH4. Or, simply, you are using some menu mods that overwrite TMO files? What about steam, isnt it keeping track of game files or something like that (im not familiar with it), and if it detects any mismatches it attempts to redownload that file or files (are you connected to the net when playing?).

I'm only installing the TMO2.5 mod and no others at this time until I can get it to work. I'm pretty sure I'm using version 1.5 as I also have the U-boat missions. I don't get the errors until the game is over 90% loaded on the progress bar.

JSGME is installed in the SHIV folder under the \steamapps\common folder and I've created a MODS folder in the same folder to place TMO2.5 as directed by JSGME. JSGME sees TMO2.5 fine and installs it without any errors coming up during the install.

I wasn't sure if this was a problem related to using the downloaded version of the game from Steam.

I'm downloading TMO2.5 once again just to give it another shot. Hope I can get it to work as playing the stock game leaves a great deal to be desired. I appreciate ya'll help. :)

if you have windows 7 64bit after uninstalling the game did you make sure to open up "c" drive/program files (x86) on your computer and manually delete the ubisoft folder AND open "c" drive/program files and manually delete the "silent hunter 4" folder there? this MUST be done before reinstalling the game

you HAVE TO manually delete these to get rid of the corrupted files because if they are corrupted then uninstallers dont recognise them and cannot remove them

And don't forfet to make a separate Games folder to install the game to. The ProgramFiles x86 install destination is a problem with SH4.

And since you have the Uboat Missions, you have v1.5 of the game, so TMO 2.5 should not be problem for you.

actually that was only a problem with vista, microsoft learned thier lesson with that screw up.

windows 7 has no issues with where you install things. still has some of the same administrator permission isues thou :O:

with windows 7 you should just let the game install itself normally and dont try to redirect it
