Magnetic Detonators and steam

Hello,
I've played SH5 near release and afaik there is still no magnetic detonator working in the game except using the sh5.exe.
Is this sticc correct or did I miss the good news? Because for me as a steam-using fool it would mean I could never see them working...
Am I right with this or is there a possibility for me to get this working?

Not good news for you.
Only exe-patch fixes broken magnetic detonators.

Yep I got it some months ago for like 5 eur in amazon... We should be paying TDW et al instead!
