View Full Version : Anybody Know Where To Find Battery Recharge Rates?

Just as the title says. Trying to find the recharge rates for the batteries, as they are taking too long to charge, and no, there is no damage to them. Just with 25% rate to charge takes all night. Reguardless of whether I am cruising, or sitting still.
I know where the discharge rates are, but can't seem to find the recharge side of it.
Thanks in advance for any info! :salute:

its been a while but its either the sim or the zon files and its listed as the distance you go at a set speed so thee is no "fixed" number but rather an equasion formula that controls it. look under engine horsepower electric propulsion i think
also it isnt exact so sea conditions and speed settings make it a little different each time so you need to test each speed setting every time you make changes or there might be glitches where one setting can be way way off while others look ok.
just takes a lot of testing to be sure its how you want it to be

Thanks Webster!
Yes, the distance on electric power is in the .sim file. What I am not able to locate, is the darn time incriments for charging them back up after surfacing.
But I will look for the headings you suggest. Taking all night to charge them up after only using 25 to 30% of the batteries is a bit much, to me is all.

I noticed this very same thing in the S-boat (RFB). Ducimus posted some stuff about batteries some time ago. IIRC, the problem was essentially unfixable, because the recharging was coupled to the battery capacity. In other words, you could speed up the recharging, but would have to reduce the battery capacity to do it. He figured out a workaround by crafting some kind of special ability fuction to speed it up.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Torpx. I thought so too, which is why TMO has a special ability for an officer in the control room that comes stock in the mod.
