The hunt with hydrophone are one the best feelings you can have. There are many tutorial that teach you to used properly. i know some tutorials but are in spanish.

But if you find in the net, sure to find what you want, "Hydrophone hunting tutorial" for Raduz ....it is a good tutorial for begining to start learning....

If you contact are the war ships its very dificult hunt it, but its a merchant ship you can use the fours measures.

I think you must beging learn know the different propellers ships and and then learn to follow bearings...

find some tutorial in the net.
