You will need the eye patch fix for sure, unless you like zombie crewmen.

Mad Max SH4 DD Pack add-on
TDW Ship Plane Fire Damage v1_3
TheDarkWraith DC Water Disturbance v2.0
New Large Lifeboat works fine, and Oar Color Correction by the same modder
Webster's Real Lifeboats Fix For v1.5
Any of Foobar's Subskins
Since FOTRS is based on TMO, the Pre Pearl Harbor Career Start works as long as you don't start out at Pearl. Just start outside of the harbor

Navmap Makeover and Airbase add-on work fine
And I use the 24 Hour Clocks

That's about it. Not much else is needed.

Haven't tried Capn' Scurvy's Optical Correction mod though or the SCAF mod, although, since FOTRS is based on TMO, there are many of the older and some of the newer TMO mods that seem to work fine.

Hope it helps!

You're welcome!

While you're here, I have your commands sound mods that you made, and was wondering, did you ever make a crash dive sound mod? Or maybe I just missed it.

Like thee movie sound adds.

Oh, too, one mod that looks really cool from TheDarkWraith, is a Bomb And Bullet Splash Effect Mod. Kinda sucks too, as it added a surface splash effect under the geyser of water when things hit, or blew up.

If you have any personal favorites, give them a try and see if they work or not. Worst case, you'll have to remove it.

Any of the music / radio mods work fine. Just make sure to use the radio station manager to keep the radio up to date, and it will let you know if thewre is anythig missing in the radio station folder.

Also you can add the Vickers interiors (they are default in TMO 2, but FOTRS donīt include they).

About the Foobar Subskins, In my installations of TMO RSRDC and FOTRS I have a problem with the lateral holes in the Gato/Balao classes: the holes are displaced from the position of the original TMO/FOTRS 3D models.

Thankyou Fitz for the heads up!

I wasn't sure if the interior mods would work, since FOTRS changes your standing position in the control room, and the conning tower.

Yes, the "mock" or drawn on limber holes don't match the sub hulls very well, but an enterprizing modeller could mod the hulls, so they have cut out limber holes instead, with a flat plain behind them painted black, set back from them a bit, so we would have real 3D limber holes.

If I could get the models to load in Wings 3D, that is one of the things I would like to add to the subs. Not really all that difficult to make, as you just make a "cookie cutter" tool to make them, and then make a backround inner hull dummy partition, and make the artfiles and you're pretty well done with them.

Now if I could get them to load in GMax, I would have made them a long time ago. I know my around that one pretty well.

Vickers interiors fit very good in FOTRS, except for the captain cabin/radio room (from U boats), they are dark...But you have the interiors as Vickers intended they.

Many thanks!

Those holes arent 3d model, they appear on sub hull just as skin maker put them on his skin; if they appear to be mismatched it may be skin files fault - normal\bump\occlusion maps (the ones with T, O and N in its names). For example load foobar texture (T01) and stock occlusion map (O01) and you will see they arent good combination, because those holes are also on O01 texture (and in some places in different position). Another thing is normal\bump maps in TMO, they seems to be done wrong and unnecessarily contain alpha channel.

Thanks Stanger. So it's the occlusion maps, and so if someone were to use Foobar's base skins to make the occlusion maps, then those anomolies would go away.

Thanks for the info.

I know CFS 3 used them on planes like the P-51 when just the plain aluminum was the base for the skin. But I have not figured out how to make them look good, or right in the game, as they usually come out with too much or not enough reflection. But they look like they are grayscale for the most part, except some of the surface ships that use them to apply a camo patterns.
