This is the new thread about my 212A-project. JHapprich helped me by creating a working 212A sub model. There are a few problems that still need work, for example

1. the hoistable devices
2. the damage model
3. the bridge (3d model and crew)

Torpedo tubes are working. If someone wants to help, you're welcome.

Looks beautifull, but how is steering with these x-shape rudders?

The x-rudders don't move. There are invisible normal rudders. So she moves like any other sub in game.

Update:

I've added the glass at the navigation lights on the conning tower. Now you can see the light bulbs :D

But there is still a long way to go. I really need help, because I have no idea how to make the hoistable devices. The bridge is modelled, but there is no watch on deck and the UZO is still visible and it hangs in the air

The torpedo load has to be done too.

Unfortunatly there is no progress. And i dont want to release this half-ready mod. I hope, that JHapprich or someone else helps me.

shame that, I see there is no bridge built into the con, it's going to be hard placing crew dummies there. But at least you have it working in game, and thats pretty good going. Keep going Gibbs, this is a good project. :salute:

Well, now there is another problem. The texture is wrong. I have changed the embedded texture in S3ditor, didn't help. Then i changed the materials of the 3d-objects in milkshape, didn't help too.

Any idea?

Looking at your first images, you had it about right, no back up, heh.

You may need a 3d model UVW unwrap map to do a good skin.

Goblin may help although I have never used it, other than that 3DStudio max does it quite well.
