View Full Version : Where can i find the deck gun loading times

i want to mod the deck gun loading time's becuase i dont think they are realistic and to slow :yawn:, i think the submarines would load there guns faster
me working in the us army as anartillery loader
we can punch out 5 rounds per minute with a 155mm gun
forgot what caliber the guns have in SH4 in the american fleet, but the german have the 8.8 Schnelladekanone also know as the 8.8 L/30 gun
they shot at low RPM about 6-7 grenades at max they shot 9-11 grenades

so you can see my point

please help

depends on every ship
search data/library, library/sub_parts or US_subparts
or data/submarine
in every case is a .sim file

Well, us ground-pounders aren't bouncing around on a moving deck while loading/firing our weapons. ;) I was very good with my M2, but sighting in on a moving target on a rolling deck with the Oerlikon 20mm... that's a different story.

Additionally, if you're like my Pops (a 105 gunner in WWII) then you have a nice stock of ready rounds piled by your gun. After the first dozen rounds or so, they are having to bring the rounds from below- which does draw out firing times a bit. The crates only get there as fast as they can pass them through the boat.

i already counted in these factors
the loading times will only increase by a few seconds not really much

Kashmir was the in-house Tool used by Ubi Romania.
You want S3D to work with.

open .sim files with skwass sil3nt editor, you'll find the program at download section, find gun type you want modify, edit reloading time and recoil time

I have manged to find and edit the guns only the deck guns now
but im going to do some more research on it to make it as realistic as possible

S3d is main tool for mod existing ships, you need only some exercise now :)

I increased the velocity of all said ammo to around 990 and 995. I know they are low velocity rounds but thought a few extra f.p.s wouldnt hurt.

In the TorpedoesUS.zon, all my torpedoes have been almost doubled in power too...equivalent of Torpex warheads...I love the smell of aluminum oxide in the morning...well...lol...I hate ships that take two torps, then do an intimidating full moon at me and sail on as if nothing happened, flicking the V's as they go!....so...sod that man they all go down now with ONE torpex jobbie...oooh yeeeeeh!

Anyway to increase the shells power, can't find the right file. Ide interested in the 4.5in getting about 25% more power.

I think is in Data/library/shells.zon or shells.dat, but i don'n know what exactly is, you must try
