[REL] HMS Astute

HI and welcome to the joint release of the HMS Astute fast attack submarine. Being British and loving submarines was the main interest in adding this vessel to the game, with the problems and set backs this mod has thrown my way I was blessed by the very helpful and skilled help of my two greatest allies on this modding forum. Not only did they lend a hand to ease my burden, but also went beyond what I asked of them.

Thanks for this nice mod. :rock: However there is some problems. I can not acces any of the periscops (there is not even te animation) or conning tower, and tubes 1 and 2 are not loaded with torpedoes. There is only 12 torpedoes in the sub including tubes instead of 38. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astute_class_submarine

She need some polishing. For the first ever mod she is beautiful. :salute:
Just some minor tweaks and she is ready for the war. I't would be nice if she was carrier playable. For the first time she is excellent. Thanks to all involved in this mod. :salute:

i see him in career but i have a big CTD when i try it
only astute active, no other mods

I'm personally not having any problems with the mod, it runs in career, and has animations and periscopes, and does what a subs meant to do, she has 24 tubes and so I can't understand the errors your getting.

It might be that she's only meant for stock 1.5 atm

My first download has gone wrong for some reason. I downloaded astute again and everything is now ok. Sory for false alarm. :oops: She is a beauty. Thank you. :salute:

Very nice mod, yoshida-kun! works great and looks great! I had no problem with her in career and it looks like I'm in for an exciting patrol.

Kilian14 (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/member.php?u=294128) you are right. I'm in the middle of patrol right now and hydrophone is not working. I have no report and can't manually move it. It is stuck at 0. Can't even hear trafic near Pearl harbor although i can see moving ships near the entrance. I have installed fresh sh4 1.5 yesterday and add next mods. 1. MiniSeaEnviromentV1.1
2. Nav Map Make-Over v. 2.0
3. sergei's skinpack v1.
4. Rescue Sub v 1.1 for Vanilla SH4 v1.5
5. TDW_Ship_Plane_Fire_Damage_v1_3_SH4
6. SSN-HMS-Astute-S119.
There was no message from JSGME of any interference between mods. Please help!

I don't have the know how to fix the hydrophone problem myself, there might be a later update but until, i know for myself any issues and bugs then I can't even begin to fix the small problems, I will take a look around and get back to you!

Works well on WDAD as well, I had to alter the menus, but the boat floats. The sonar is an issue to.

2 things though :

-Don't you think it's diving a little too fast ?

-Hydro are indeed an issue, such a great mod deserves a fix ;)

IJN Musashi, sister to the Yamato. it's a very realistic model with good detail and hopefully will be playable on the campaigns. I'm working with Karle94 to get her into game so hopefully it wont be long!

And for those who have asked about the Hydrophone I've asked Jhapprich to take a look, will get back to you when I hear from him.
