ok is this mod for type vii cs and ixs only? i loaded up all the mods as listed in the readme. i just started a new career and i started with the vii b and my turm has the wrong textures and i cant get into the conning tower room itself from the command room by just clicking the mouse to go up the latter. so is there anything im missing here?:salute:


ps- ive posted this in like two other threads but no one has responded is the reason for this thread.

i just started a career. i havent played in a year and a half. so i got a type viib right now. so when i activate aces turms mod and start a patrol everything works but my turm has diffrent textures on it. i have all the meat hanging in the command room and the mgs on the turm but the textures arent right and i click to go up into the conning tower and it wont let me so is it that i need to just wait til i get into a type viic before enabling the mod? or am i doing something wrong?

Have a look at Ace's Multimod Compatibility Fix. If I remember the readme correctly, you need it to make his turms work with the Waterstreams mod. It's also needed for other mods that change the towers, like Open Hatch, rotating antennas, and twisty periscope.

Depending on the type of conning tower you have on your VIIB, it may not work with Super Turms. The mod focuses mainly on the 7c and type 9 series. I keep hoping someone will "finish" that, so to speak, and include all the conning towers for every type of u-boat.

well i think thats what it is mainly. because its a fresh career in 1939 so i have the first conning tower of the vii Bs. now im using LSH v5.1 so now ive got to redo everything lol. but i will read more on this in his notes and such. thanks. i was just wondering if anyone else had this same problem. i mean its not that big of a deal, everything was working as far as the 3d objects. it was just the textures. oh and the whole i couldnt go into my conning tower interior either. but no biggy. ill figure that out later. thanks.

A model being incompatible with your u-boat type will cause the problems you described. Due to differences in facings and node placements, textures will be misaligned and you can't enter the conning tower because it's not properly attached to the hull. To fix this, you will need the proper turm or apply fixes to the turm you wish to use that will make it compatible. Usually, all you need to do is reposition the turm nodes where they will match the corresponding attachment nodes on the hull.

oh boy, your talking japanese now. i would gather its because im in the type7b and early in the career. so ill just wait til i get in a type7c so its compatible.
