Thinking I would like to make the red "crash dive" clickable conning tower button in TMO to the standard DIVE button, then make the green button the "surface" button, anyone know how to change this and willing to explain? Thanks.

It used to be a seperate download but I guess Ducimus deleted it after he incorporated it into TMO.
I thought I might still have it, but it is gone, probably during the great deletion I did to free up HD space.

What buttons? There are clickable buttons for crash dive in CT in TMO?? Gotta look for them :D
If they are 3D then to change commands you can open CT interior sim file and look through 'focusable3dobjects' - you can change commands and tooltips there.

Yes, red, green and yellow if you to the left in the conning tower.

Yep, in my many years playing I only found these a few months ago...

Found them:DL There are also buttons for firing torpedoes. After this I did a search through my boat, but didnt find anything else ; was hoping to find some "depth under keel' device, maybe even inactive (would be easy to make it work) - I loved to click on one in sh3 :P
BTW, how did it work in real life? Did they use sonar or something - meaning no separate device for it?

they had a separate fathometer in the control room if i remember
correctly.
if you use TMO or my interiors, take a close look at the sonar
device, there is a switch in the upper left corner.

Vickers is correct on the depth sounder.
The American boats also had an instrument, the Bathermograph (? on spelling) that gave them water temperature readings, so if they found a thermal layer (temperature gradient) they knew that the DDs looking for them would get inaccurate sonar signatures. The shallower the the gradient, the deeper you could get under it, and the depth charges dropped would be way off the mark.

how do you add this? JSGME or manually? If manually, what do you do exactly? replace or add or?
