I'm sorry to ask just another question but are there any overhaul mods such as tirgger maru or some of the others I've seen for V1.4?

I can't afford 1.5 at the moment and probably won't be able to for a while if not at all. So if anyone could just let me know about "Supermods" for 1.4 I would really appreciate it.

Here are links for TMO 1.9. and 1.7. I know 1.7 will work with SH4 1.4, but I can't remember if 1.9 is compatable or not.

Version 1.7 here:
http://silenthunter.filefront.com/file/Trigger_Maru_17;105621

There are a few more downloads you can try there too. I think 1.7.6 is an upgrade for TMO, but it's been quite a while so make sure you read al the documentation.

And here is the link for vwersion 1.9 Here:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1457

Again, I'm not sure if it is compatable with SH4 1.4 though. Again, it's been some time since I used that version.

Much nicer sub interiors for the fleetboats. They really do look nice compared to stock.

Just read a pdf, and from version 1.7 on, the mod was made compatable with SH4 v1.5

I am trying to find either TMO 1.5.2 or 1.6.3. Those were the last versions that were compatable with SH4 1.4.

But if memory serves, i played SH4 1.4 with TMO 1.7 for some time before I finally bit the bullet and upgraded.

Where would this PDF be located and if you could find a version that is for 1.4 that'd be great! thanks

Here is TMO v1.4, apparently this is the last one that was tailored to SH4 1.4.

Not sure if you had a bad download or not maybe.

Don't know if this will be a better download for you either. But you can give it a try. I remember though, I didn't upgrade until TMO 1.9 came out.

Mainly because I wasn't interested in the U-Boat add-on 1.5 offerred.

Still haven't used it either. Just my personal liking. I remember playing SH 1 using DOS Box for quite some time.

If you want, just look for different versions using google. That's what I've been doing, but these are older versions going back 4 and 5 years now. So finding them might be a trick, unless someone has it uploaded somewhere that isn't registered in the search.

The RSRD, is that for Sh4 vanilla?

What you might want to try, is just start with the RSRD patches, and see if it crashes. And go from there.

The trouble is, Filefront, became Gamefront, and I don't know if these older mods have been corrupted, or if files are bad in them. So it's kinda a hit and miss.

And I just cleaned all my old SH4 mods out a few moths ago.

Yeah for SHIV vanilla but I've tried all the possiable combinations and different start subs different start points both in the harbor or out at sea and I'm still getting a CTD, guess I'll just have to live with out RSRDC... :damn:

Oh man, I shoulda looked here, at Subsim.

There are some mods for SH4 1.4, including the old TMO 1.4, and some other improvement mods.

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=cat&id=10&sort=name

At the bottom, you can check the little box on how to show the mods, and have it organize them by file name, so it's easier to locate them.

Try removing the CTD fix, start a new career and see what happens. I glanced through my backup of 1.4-era mods and didn't spot the CTD fix in there, so it may not be a required file for v350.

ETA: Disregard, I found the file and it's required, indeed. Only other thing I can think of is try pulling all the mods, start a new career, see if the CTD goes away, then gradually add mods and repeat the process.

:hmmm:
If all else fails, maybe a fresh install of SH4 is in order, especially if you've been adding and removing mods.

Btw, RSRDC v350 was the last one for v1.4, so you have the correct version.

Yeah, I will concur, when sealing with mega mod installs, and removal, it's always best to do a fresh install of the game, unless you have enough hard drive space, and can make a copy of the SH4 folder and stash it away on the drive so all you have to do, is copy it over and overwrite he existing one that was modded and unmodded.

Just checked, and you are correct, the versions of RSRD are not compatable with SH4 v1.4.

The only way you're going to probably find it, is if someone still has it on their computer, and will upload it somewhere for you.

You might want to ask that in a seperate thread. You never know! You might get lucky.

Alright well I thank you gentlemen, I will try a fresh install and I have the 1.4 version according to drbeast. And yes I'll admit I've been throwing a ton of mods in and out lol anyway ill reinstall tomorrow and if it still don't work I'm assuming it would be best to give up? lol thanks again guys!

Okay, yeah, if you've been adding and removing mods, then it would definitely be a good thing to re-install.

And you're welcome!
