No black flank puffs?

I never get the black puffs of flank from the 40 MM in TMO 2.5 RSRD.I remember seeing screen shots, the AA ammo iis supposed to make black puffs of AA shells exploding correct?I can hear them, but never see them.Anyone else have this issue? Causes? Fixes?

it depends on the background and the environmental settings

a lot of time the puffs are like a dirty dust cloud and very hard to see

in almost all cases its there you just cant see it against the background

the solution is to find the file for it and darken it so its easier to see or just remove that file from TMO so it keeps the stock smoke that is easier to see

I pulled this out of my archive images. I captured this shot back when Ducimus had just added the 40mm flak bursts. I too wanted to see for myself if they were actually there.
