What would I need to do(in detail please) to get the attack scope and obs scope from RFB for TMO 2.5? I like them, esp that there are no green lines on the observation scope.Attack scope in TMO is fine but would like the scopes and the TBT from RFB 2.0(patched) or does anyone have a mod to do this already?

You can try these files from RFB mod:

Data\Menu\Skins\American\Gui\Layout\Attackscope.dd s
Data\Menu\Skins\American\Gui\Layout\Obscope.dds
Data\Menu\Skins\American\Gui\Layout\OBSPeriscope_M ask_1024.dds
Data\Menu\Skins\American\Gui\Layout\Periscope_Mask _1024.dds
Data\Menu\Gui\Layout\TBT_1024.dds

Maybe simple copy, paste, replace will work, especially if those files are the same size as TMOs ones; there may be need to edit menu1024 file - I hope not, its a nightmare not a file :P

Doesn't matter if they are in TMO or not, you have them in SH4 install dir. If they arent in TMO mod folder means TMO doesn't change them, but apparently RFB does, and you want RFBs look of scopes, right?

Take those files from RFB and make a mod from them with proper folder structure: Mod_Name\Data\Menu\Skins\American\Gui\Layout\ ------- and so on, and use JSGME.

Why, what happened? :D

I did take a look at stock peri files in menu folder and TMO ones, and they are the same, except green markings and OBSPeriscope_Mask_1024.dds file, which is - it seems - added by TMO. For game to use it Ducimus must have added it to menu1024 ini too, and its there. Now, I dont have RFB files anymore, so can't check them, you will need to do it:
- check if RFB has separate files for attack periscope and observation periscope, if yes, check their names, if different - make them the same as TMOs ones;
Other way is to edit menu1024 ini to make it compatible with RFB files - but as long as its possible avoid that ;)

The other two files I mentioned (Attackscope.dds and Obscope.dds) in my previous posts are from OTC mod, my mistake, sorry. It can get pretty messy with all those mods.

They look the same but apparently are not.I created a mod, enabled it, didnt give an overwrite warning but when I started the game it took forever then when i loaded my patrol, the obs scope lens was missing.I clicked the obs scope viewwas essentially an external view but if you moved the scope up and down via the keys, it moved but not scope with crosshairs etc.Ugh, why can't things be a bit easier to mod.:damn:

So, RFB does have separate obs scope dds file? Maybe its size is different from TMO? TMOs OBSPeriscope_Mask_1024.dds is 1024x1024 dxt5. Also check file name.
And if you can send me this file somehow, I would like to take a look, I'm curious :)

OK, downloaded RFB

The name is different: rename Obscope.dds from RFB to OBSPeriscope_Mask_1024.dds (TMO).
Should work now.
