Lifeboats v1.0 for Operation Monsoon (v7.20)

http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/2843/nonameaj.jpg

There have been many requests for someone to put lifeboats into the Operation Monsoon supermod, and I finally decided to do it. It was a very time-consuming project, but I feel satisfied with the final results.

What this mod does:

- Adds lifeboats to most allied, neutral, and enemy ships in Operation Monsoon v7.20. How many lifeboats emerge from a sinking ship depends on the percentage chance, plus ship crew complement numbers (see below).

- Adjusted all ship crew complements based more closely on historical figures. How many lifeboats emerge from a sinking ship is affected directly by the crew complement number. I have also greatly increased troop carrier ship complements to simulate them carrying full loads of troops, basing these amounts on historical figures. You may now see many lifeboats in the water upon sinking certain ship types, such as troop carriers and battleships.

- Adjusted renown values of all ships, plus removed all the extremely high and unbalanced renown rewards. I have tried to balance out these renown numbers based on ship type, size, complement, etc. High-value targets now include troop carriers, tankers, capital ships, etc. You will even get a bit of renown for sinking enemy coastal fishing vessels.

(Credit to Lurker and others for spending so much time and effort creating the wonderful Operation Monsoon supermod)

Have fun, but don't sink the lifeboats. :arrgh!:

Very cool, man you are a mod factory as of late, great work:salute:
Think you could look at RFB and fix the fast moving lifeboats?

Can't you just add 'Webster's Real Lifeboat fix'?
No one has messed with the files except me that I know of.
:hmmm:

And I only made a better looking Large Life boat with corrected Oar colors.

I tried it but it spawned 8 large lifeboats for a destroyer i sunk in 1941 lol.

His fixes only affect the sim files. Not the spawn probability.
That is based on the entry in the Unit files.

Your not bad as a modder. You just need to learn a few things.
By the way? Your totally wrong.

Spawn rates are controlled by the cfg file for each Unit.

SurvivalRate=50
SurvivalPercentage=60

And so on.
Zero out all that in all Units cfg files and see what happens.

Been down this road with other threads.

And you did zero all cfg settings?

What attitude?
I post a simple statement and it's an attitude?
Christ ! I would have left SubSim long ago if I was as touchy tender.

Releasing Mods leaves you open to crit.
Get use to that.
It only means people are checking out what you do.

Should I see mistakes and not tell you?

My apologize.
I will never post in your threads again.
And don't bother asking if you need help.
I won't answer.

You also made the first one on my ignore list.
Great work Mate!
