Is there any way, in SH3/GWX, to script a response to certain u-boat activities in given areas? Without knowing assembly, of course.

For instance, it just seems wrong that, in June '41, I can sink 10 lone merchants off the north coast of Scotland in a 72 hour period without someone coming to investigate. :-?

Good question. I don't have the answer. How did the British answer to the sinking of their merchants in a given area? More air/sea patrols? :hmmm:

Always wondered this myself. I remember sitting outside of Trinidad one time and picking off tankers left and right until I was out of torpedoes. I must have sunk 8 to 10 tankers completely unmolested.

IIRC, yes , it's possible. The mission editor have triggers that can also be used on the campaign files to spawn ships if a event occurs. It's very easy to implement.

They were never used because they also have some limitations. We have few types of triggers but not all of them is really working on sh3. IIRC again, only the Reach zone triggers are working but this is true for single missions...perhaps for campaign files they all can be working? If so, a time/date triggers are also at disposal.

Another limitation is that if a zone reach trigger is present it will be there all the time on campaign files...unless you slipt the campaign files per period of interest, what is also possible.
