What I mean by this, if I recall, the game has you shooting from the right side POV. If you're the one firing the gun, you would be sitting on the left side.That's good to know. Thanks for letting me know about this detail.

And take your time. By the way, a good photo taken from both sides would be really appreciated. I mean, some picture taken as you're sitting on the right and on the left of the gun, showing the details you can see from these points of view.

But as I said, I'm really not in a hurry. There's still a lot of work ahead before I can start caring about the details.

Are we there yet I got to peee,, I got sh3 going with S-Boote Lite with s38 running, in sh4 pt yubba the 109 I reworked is so so,, I had a thought on interior has anybody tried a digital photo like they do on virtual tours..Like they did on destroyer command,, had pictures of compartments you could pan around,, I know gauges wouldn't work unless you made another station,,,, like this,,,,http://www.maritime.org/tour/atr.php?pano=nr

A note on weapons,,found this out in sh3 s-boote after a armed trawler handed me my butt and killed my watch officer, I was quite fond of him, and turned my boat into swiss cheese, but anyway to get to the point what are you going to use as deckguns to fire on ships,, On pt yubba 109 there is the 40's as deck guns, they can light up a jap destroyer,,but I chose a twin 40 in the aft postion to rid the 40 on the bow.

Are we there yet, any work being done on the campaign, is there away to get the elco boat that has been already built into the campaign the pt yubba 109 is ready but I have no clue how to make work in a campaign I'm afraid that it is beyond me, how about the interior,, I mention static pictures that where in the virtual tours that gave a 360 degree look any way to incorperate that into the game. yubba only idea man now.:nope: or only grasping for staws

I'm only now getting to a point where I can start working on things again.
It's slow, I admit. But then again? It's not like we have a large Team doing anything.

Heck! We almost don't have a small Team doing anything!

Matter of fact had a deer trip the side lights a little doe in the distance, I was pulling the rifle out of the back seat of the car,,lucky for her I wasn't hungry,,,learned a new way to cook deer no matter what cut or roast put it a cast iron kettle and steam the piss out of it the longer you cook it the tender it gets and it makes a tastey stew. years back I had 4 deer standing by my car the first day of deer season I had to shew them away so I could go deer hunting.

Where I live? Deer are as common as mice!
I counted over 150 in fields just a half mile from my home one day!
That was 2 herds.
Turkey also run in huge groups here also!

On a side note, there is an interest in this project higher up on the PT-boat foodchain. I just wish I had the money to fly you (privateer) out here to show me everything you know about modding the files. Not the graphic stuff, the technical side. And you could spend some quality time "on the boat":D (although right now is a bad time, because we're out of the water atm)

I work a bit differently then Alex, and look at the files from a 'lest verts' point of view.
So I need to adjust between his work and mine.
That's the delay aside from actual real time right now.

I'd be interested in your idea.
I have an idea of my own and perhaps we could combine them to come up with one that has less chance of failure.

One area I have little (O.K. NO) knowledge of is the UPC stuff.
That's what I've been watching to see if someone would step in with assistance offers.
I check everything by Ducimus myself.
But for some reason? I'm lost right off the freaking bat!

Well if you get a dozen or so missions built to go with the down load of the boat, it would be a start, I think we got a enough talent in the subsim community that some folk could come up with some pretty interesting and entertaining missions, this was a contest to start with maybe the best missions submitted could get in the e- nish- ial down load with their name tacked to it.

There is an elco Pt 109 in the download section, I'm sorry that I don't have the link at the moment, I gave privateer the files I had on it to make it fully functional, may be when we clear some polictical hurdles, about modding it should be in here for down load, but as it stands it is a nice mod it just needs a little work. If I got it too work you shouldn't have any trouble at the moment I can't remember what I did.

I downloaded this Alpha version, but I canīt see this splendid fast boat in game. Playable PT-Boat in SH4 campaign... Oh, that would be really great. Looking forward Admiral Von Gerlach!

In Data\campaigns\campaign a lot of *.mis files need to be built and modified as traffic in missions for the PT Boat that is close to traffic around the actual areas and the types of missions performed in WW II. Even harbor traffic etc.

This traffic - shipping needs to be tweaked and created around the PT Boat patrol hunting areas in *.mis files because the PT Boats need additional targets - more-so because of their smaller range.

Data\campaigns\campaign\PatrolObjectives\*Folders\ *.mis and *.tsr files need to be created and added. Could be upwards of 100 or more folders for these actual missions that are reasonably close to the actual types of missions performed in WW II that become your Patrol Orders... Objectives.

Campaign.cfg and DynamicMiss.cfg need to be edited for these missions.
Also, DynamicMiss.cfg, Campaign_LOC.mis, and Campaign_NMS.mis need to be edited.

In Data\UPCData\UPCCampaignData\
CarerStart.upc, CareerTrack.upc, Flotillas.upc, and PatrolObjectives.cfg all need to be edited.
- and Data\UPCData\UPCLocalization\UPCLocalization.tsr also needs to be modified a little.

SH4 calls a mission by its unique ID number. - From your perspective you get your sailing orders and specific Objective(s).

The PT Boat itself probably has the correct files and folders so the Campaign can 'call' it like the game 'calls' a specific submarine.

You can see for example how Ducimus added the TENCH class submarine and various NARWHAL submarine's in his TM's if you study and compare the files mentioned above. The PT Boat would need to be added in a similar manner.

Hope this helps a little bit. I didn't get into a lot of detail but just tried to outline how to create a PT Boat campaign.

I may have forgotten some things but most of it is here... lol

I got the pt 109 that is in download here in subsim working pretty good with fireing tubes I gave privateer the files on it I call it pt yubba but I can't stand the butt ugly 20mm tubs.

I gave the files to Nikimcbee and Privateer. A campaign is in order even we can get it to work in early aisiatic

I don't blame you, sh3 is much better for surface stuff, models and pilot houses, the s-boots are the bomb, the s-38 is out of this world for a torpedo boat.

are we there yet, sorry to see this come to a crawl, at least I don't see the in fighting like I do in IL 2 mod community, got my eye on that fletcher I have the old one but no engine sound, figured out that pesky alarm siren on the ships ring and ring and ring,,, just go to sound folder and take it out, but I can't seem to get the call to battlestations to work on the cleveland any ideas come to think of it don't work on the montana either

Ditto for 2016. We are about a year out from having the museum/learning center up and running.

There is big time interest in this and I'd like to get it moving. Any interest, in working on this project, post here or PM me. I'm on the museum committee and we want to integrate this mod into the experience.

We have a 360 tour of our boat somewhere. That boat is nekked! You need to see a fully restored PT!

I've seen yours through that tour,, I mentioned it a year or so ago to see if we couldn't incorperate that tour in to the game,,, you guys did a great job on the restore

I guess I'm the last man standing,,, time to kick this thread in the butt,,you now have torpedoes for the pt-109 the how to is in a below thread,, I couldn't get it to run in a campaign it's just easier to make single missions,, now the trick is to get the ai's to fire torps..
