Hey folks,
I'm brand new to playing SH5. Installed from DVD and patched. Downloaded and installed JSGME, TDW-NewUI, Trevally harbour pilot and solution checker.
I found that shooting with connecting the dots very easy as explained on several youtube vids. 90' angle etc etc.
However - TDW-New UI 6.9 - after several tries of those white buttons in the pop up menu above the weps officer while looking through the attack scope in roughly the following sequence
1) target = nearest ship 2) lock target (with space bar) 3) autofollow target 4) ID target 5) solution to target 5) fire torp ------- > I keep missing.
Tried it with TDC off and with TDC on. (thought it might be the problem)
I ALWAYS miss like this because my scope is fixed on target. Tried firing with the scope in different leading positions and the torps follow the scope instead of a solution to target.
How do I use the weps officer to do the calculations? Is there a "connect the dots" firing mode in the new UI? Should I maybe play with the old UI until I move to manual TDC? :damn:
Trevally's solution checker is a rocking feature for manual TDC btw! Thx
