Hi there.
Been a very long time since i tried out silent hunter 5.
I was wondering, is it possible to have german dialog having installed the game in english?
Or do i have to un-install and install it again?

And yes,... I wasn't sure if i should have posted it here or over,... there ;)

I was having similar issues about the voice because I bought my game from Steam and couldnt choose German, it would load English only..:nope:

You will need to get JGSME and place it in you games file folder and create a folder called mods. Then you can dowload the mod. But the most important thing is to go and follow these steps! THis is very important to do!

I installed SH5 yesterday. If I remember well, first I was given the option to install the game in English. Then, I chose "custom" installation and finally I was given the option to choose either English or German voices, but I chose English ones.

If I am correct and it works, we shouldn't need a mod to have German voices, should we?

You can reinstall the game, select Custom and then German.

You can go into the Sound files and just replace all the English files with German ones.

You can download one of the mods that does that for you.

You can download one of the two different Das Boot Sound Mods.

All those options will give you German voices.

The german voices are in your sh5 main game folder no matter what language you choose . If you installed the game with english voices simply go to the folder Silent Hunter 5\data\LngGameData\Voices\German and copy this to your mod enabler and enable it . You are copying the folder German to your mods to enable .
