Mod Request: Correct names on the map

On all map mods I've seen so far, the original totally wrong Ubisoft names for map locations aren't changed.

I wonder if this is possible at all. Common mistakes are "Deutche Bucht" instead of "Deutsche Bucht" or "Nordmeer" instead of "Nordsee".

Can someone guide me on how to change this? Is this defined in text files? Or hardcoded?
