geforce 8400 gs black bars

Hi guys,

In all of the u.i. pages I get thin horizontal bars.

The only place they don't show up is in the 3d view

I'm running Win xp sp3, and nvidia drivers ver 6.14.12.7061 (270.61). DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

Does anybody here know what the particular DirectX program call / technique that is being used to cause this ? (Not that I can do anything about that, just curious).

And of course, I'd really like to find a fix for this.

The card works fine with many other graphic intensive applications (xplane, iRacing, Orbiter, Blender, ClearviewRC...etc)

DW is very old and not really written to DirectX specs. You can try updating your graphics drivers, but a lot of the DW quirks are because of how it runs on modern drivers.

It runs fine two other machines I've tested, both running Win7, one is a geforce 6600 (which predates my 8400 gs), the other has a geforce 9600 GT.

Seems to be a combination of my 8400 gs / hp dc5000 / directx9 / nvidia drivers ......... phase of the moon ;)
