View Full Version : How to deal with Mod Conflicts?

I'm new to SH5. I've got the Generic Mod Enabler, and I'm using suggested Mods from the "Beginner's Guide" post. I'm using and enabled in this order:

MightyFine crew
Dynamic Environment
SteelViking interior
IRAI
NewUI TDC 6 9 0
EquipmentUpgrades
TorpedoSpeed

I have 4 greyed-out mods due to conflicts. Dynamic, SteelViking, IRAI, New UI. I don't understand what my options are and how I'm supposed to deal with this. Do I just wing it and hope for no CTDs?

Thank you for your help and patience.

James

JSGME tells you what has conflicted - usually it's just a readme document and nothing to worry about. Follow the order given in that post and you should be ok.

Or try it :D

Delete the docoments folder out of the mods before enabling .

Hm... doesn't JSGME ignores Documentation folder? Never had readme files conflicts...

UPD: Oh, I forgot, some mods had readme.txt in root folders and i manually created Documentation for each of them...

Thanks guys. Seems it was a different issue that was causing my CTD. I ad to reinstall from scratch, do the intro campaign/tutorial, then install all the mods.

I did of course get the conflicts, but it's not documentation files. A couple examples are: uboat_sensors.sim; lights.cfg; and a handful of others. I just hit "yes" and installed the mods anyway. But SH5 seems to be running fine, so I'm not going to worry about it until I get a CTD.
