Hello gentlemen,
how can I make this panel

slide?
This slide panel is e. g. in Rafaelīs GUI mod: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1957 .
You need to find the parent entry in the menu.ini to which everything is attached. Then you add a command line called "Slide", use the text search to find examples. In GWX you can find it at the bottom of the menu in the entry for the slide out compass, f.e.

This is for me very complicated.

What exactly should I now do/change please Hitman?

latemail once posted a very detailed tutorial on modifying the interface. The original post was done at the Ubisoft Germany forums, but I have been unable to find it.
I may have it archived somewhere. Will post a link for download if I find it.
EDIT:
Found it! It's a long and extensive document, complete with all the screenshots and illustrations. Unfortunately, latemail never finished the tutorial as he intended. It was meant to cover everything about the SH3 interface. However, what he did manage to publish will allow you to add dials and other elements. I converted it from the original HTML format into a PDF document, so you'll need Adobe or another PDF reader to view it.
Here's the link: Latemail's Gui And Menu Mod Tutorial (http://www.mediafire.com/?r7054n25nfdgfg6)
Keep in mind the original post from which this was taken was in German. Since my German language skills are pretty much limited to SH3 and buying sausages, I used software for translation into English. As such, there are still some German words peppered throughout the document.
Do you have by chance the same PDF without translation? For us german speaking it could be worth reading, as any eventual error in translation will not be there ...

Thanks for the link. I was looking for how to mod dials.

I am sorry, Hitman. Not being gifted with the ability to learn other languages (believe me, I've tried several times), it only occurred to me to translate the document into English for my personal use.
If I do manage to find the original German language version, I shall most certainly send you a PM with the link. I hope this translated document will still be of some use to you.
I have dozens of other SH3 modding documents and guides I've managed to save over the years, but have not offered for download since I did not wish to offend the original authors. I made an exception this time because I don't think latemail would mind, even if he were still active in the Silent Hunter modding community.

:salute::salute::salute:Welcome aboard Karl!!!:salute::salute::salute:
@ Josef: I donīt know, sorry...!
Josef, I can't remember right now which entry in the menu is the tools bar in the bottom of the screen.
But if Rafael's GUI already features that, the easiest thing you can do is use the search function in that GUI and look for lines that have the word "Slide", the copy that same line in your own menu in the same entry and see if that works.

Hello Hitman, firstly thank you VERY much for your reply. I tried this, but in Rafaelīs GUI mod (in menu 1024_768) are completly new passages, who is the word "Slide" e. g.:
;-------------------Attack Periscope Torpedo Settings Mod---------------------
etc.

There is a mod that makes everything slide, and adds giant dials which are easy to see and use:

Glad I could help. That's one of my favorite mods, and one that keeps me with SH3.
You are a great community!
Yes, you are! :sunny:
