Please help me!

Hey guys, I was wanting to install the Mighty Fine Crew Mod for Silent Hunter 5 and watched some tutorials on how to install mods in Silent Hunter 5. I then downloaded and installed JSGME and did everything step by step that I saw from the video. I then activated the mod, launched Silent Hunter 5 and it didn't work. I have tried doing this over again for about 5 times and still doesn't work. I was wondering if someone could help me or make a VERY in detail video tutorial on how to install Silent Hunter 5 mods; specifically the Mighty Fine Crew Mod. This would help me alot. Thanks guys.

You have to start a new campaign for it to work . When you unzip it there is more than 1 mod there . Choose which one to install .

Are you selecting the parent directory for the entire mod or did you move one of the sub-directories with their respective mods into the MODS folder? The Mighty Fine Crew mod has four separate directories for each respective option for default or alternate appearance and with and without beards. These directories need to be in the MODS folder. If it is nested in another directory, it won't work.

For some reason i tried launching a new campaign completely from the beginning ( very first campaign ) and the mod still doesn't work. I've done the exact steps that stoianm showed on his youtube video.

I had my mods ready to be activated in JSGME, did the tutorial mission, exited the game, activated the mods, launched the game and started a new mission ( skipping the tutorial ), spawned in the bunker, tweaked my realism settings, and talked to the officer about my new mission and started the patrol. But none of the mods work.

what is your mod order?
a mod installed after mfcm may be interfering with it.
take a snap shot of your mods order by using jsgme tasks menu, and post it here, we'll have a look.

So I took a snapshot but it doesn't seem to be a picture but more of a bunch of words like in a config file or something

go to jsgme tasks and select "export actvated mods list to" select "text file"
go to MODS list in ubisoft/silenthunter5/MODS select text file of activated mods, then post here.

Usually it looks like this:

The game installs in C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5
The mods are installed in C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS


In wich directory did you install your game? C:\SH5 ?
In which directory have you installed your mods ? C:\SH5\Mods ?
In which directory have you installed the Mod Enabler?

I'm not sure why C:/Ubisoft/....... isn't there, I think it's because i got silent hunter 5 from steam maybe. I downloaded JSGME into C:/SH5
My mods are in C:/SH5/MODS
and I think my game is in C:/SH5

I don't know about Sh5 but I've got Railworks and that installs to C:Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/

you need to intall jsgme into the directory where your Sh5.exe resides!

Thank you all very much for putting the effort to help me install my desired mods! The problem that I had was that I would install JSGME into C:/SH5
instead I was suppose to install JSGME to C:/Program Files (x86)/steamapps/steam/silenthunter5
same thing with the mods :yeah:
