Hello everyone! I've been messing around with S3D and the .sim files in SHIV, but I would like to know specifically how to alter the following:

1) I am able to change the rate of fire of the deck guns, but how can I change their firepower or AP values?

2) If I wanted to add more torpedoes to the sub's fore and aft storage, I have noticed that simply clicking "Add array item" to make another storage slot does not work. How can I increase torpedo storage? I also notice that modding the torpedo damage or speed does not have an effect.

3) How can I edit the composition of enemy convoys and task forces?

Thanks in advance.

>1) Changing the shells involves chasing down hexadecimal references across a few different files. I have compiled an Excel sheet for just this purpose, if you're interested. The actual effects are in \Library\Shells.zon, but you have to find the appropriate lines to edit. I like to just switch the shell used by the gun instead of changing the shells, but it still needs those reference numbers.

>2) If you add arrays to the sim file, you must change the upc file to match the new numbers. It's way down under compartment equipment and weaps, in each torpedo room section, there's a bunker with a capacity line. Change that to match.

>3) Convoys and task forces are in traffic missions in the campaign folder, and can be edited with the mission editor, although I don't really get into that myself.

Hope that helps.
