No, correct that, I most definitely have.

The main issue I have at this point is that my sub doesn't even show up on the nav map when I start a new campaign, making it difficult to plot a course. And my nav officer has the "plot course" greyed out, so that doesn't help either.

What I was trying to do was to use sober's mod list (modified slightly to leave out stuff I don't want and to make sure that my crew speaks nothing but German. Immersion, you know), but I obviously managed to mess it up somehow.

Not sure what I did wrong here (other than trying to do too much too quickly, apparently), but any help would be most appreciated.

What I'm looking for in a "soup" other than simplicity is:

1) An interface as close to SHIII as possible, additional features quite welcome but not absolutely essential.

2) Good looks (environment etc.).

3) Immersion, meaning my crew can't speak anything but German (English text and tool tips is fine, although not essential as I am fluent in German), enhanced sounds etc.

4) At least halfway intelligent AI behavior and good realism if possible.

What did I do wrong?

I'll be eternally grateful for help here, as it is hard to play when you can't even plot a course.

Hi misha

With Real Navigation enabled, you can't plot a course with waypoints. If that's what you wan't, you'll have to uninstall that MOD.

As pointed out below it sounds like you have real navigation enabled.

Er... Yes. Perhaps next time I'll read the fine documentation that comes with the mods. :oops:

But now I have another funny issue: I pulled the mods, one at a time from the last one toward the first, and reloaded them in the order indicated by you. Everything works, it would appear, but now all of my game menus (main menus) are in Spanish???

In game, the crew speaks German and the subtitles are English like before, but the main menus are in Spanish. :06:

UPDATE: Just to let you know that I got it fixed, which involved pulling all the mods, reinstalling, then adding the needed mods in the correct order.

Thanks again for the help and for pointing out to me that it's a good idea to actually check what a mod does before adding it :)

I don't know why I didn't do so in that case since I usually do. I guess it was just me going "if sober has it, then I definitely need it too!" Which is not a bad guideline as far as the quality of the mod goes, but I should have checked if it did something I wanted first.

My bad.

Still haven't figured out what caused my game menus to go Spanish on me, though, but they're working fine now. Probably something else I wasn't paying attention to. :)

First of all, allow me to thank you personally for what you've done with that Uber Mod, because it is nothing short of jaw dropping. As in: My jaw literally dropped when I first fired up the sim after having installed it. :salute:

As to the various controls, I'm getting there by trial and error (which is actually quite a bit of fun) and I think I have most of them down by now. Well, at least the ones that I need to do some damage to the Tommies, because I'm sure there are tons of features that I haven't even discovered yet.

But I'll be sure to take you up on your kind offer when I am about to lose my mind. Thanks again!

P.S.: I actually do have one very minor question: How do I call up the shipping chart?

Shipping chart is at the nav map station. There is a button on that station to switch between the two shipping charts (believe it's located in upper left corner) :up:
