In case there are any modders out there who would be interested in a new idea for a mod, I think it would be really cool to have a touchscreen version of the TDC interface. There are already programs available for this sort of modding (such as the Helios http://www.scsimulations.com/content.php?204), so I think this wouldn't take too much effort. I'm not sure how the program works (it supposedly comes down to drag and drop), so linking the graphics with the dials would take some effort, but just imagine being able to spin the RAOBF with your own fingers or twisting the dials for speed, distance etc. I think it would add a whole new level of immersion to the game.
Just to get a feel for it, you can see how the touchscreen program works for A-10C here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v15E1JZe9es
I'm a big fan of A-10C, and since I'm getting ready to set up my own touchscreen interface for that game, I started thinking about SH5 and how I, or an actual experienced modder, could create a touchscreen interface for SH5.
So what do you think? Would this be worth the effort and would people be interested in this sort of thing? I do realize that getting a touchscreen lcd is a considerable investment so maybe this is not such a worthwhile endeavor...
