Hello and Happy New Year!

During the holidays, I have reworked the Alfa of my CWSS mod.Originally, I wanted to combine the Models of Hotmanandre and the Dangerous Waters RA-Mod, but in the end I had to recreate the entire model, the conning etc. There is now a pressure hull model as well as animated flaps and new extensibles. The mod is designed like the Oscar II - refit and is campaign playable for both sides.

Baking AO is easy. You just need a 2nd uv channel and then use render-to-texture with a skylight.

yap, the AO-Maps are underway thanks to my 3dsmax2011.needed some time to figure it out since i do my models with milkshape.

what do you mean with russian?

It probably isnt in russian, heh, but the text (main menu, stuff on map ect) isnt in english. Its still playable, just annoying.

go to mods/alfa us_ge/ data/menu/, rename ment.txt in menu_ge.txt, and menu_US.txt in menu.txt, so you will have english menu instead of the german one

its top speed published is 40 some knots,
but it could be a bit faster.
what JH is trying to say, is that it is not a WWII era sub, it is a modern SSN
if you dont like it. dont download. bottom line.

I used the JSGME program to insert it, and it displays as inserted.
So, go to the game, and it is apparrently no where.
Please, What am I doing wrong?? I even went to the Museum and reviewed all ships. Nothing
can someone tell me what I am goofing up??

deactivate it, look into mods folder, into alfa ge_us folder must be a folder called "Data"
If alfa folder is empty, probable your download is corrupt, download again, if is another alfa folder put that in mods :)

I have noticed lately that my Alfa doesnt have ANY contact reports, :damn:
and i get no contacts what so ever on Hydrophone or Radar, :damn:

and when you launch guided missiles at very long distances stop engines, i've launched a SLBM this mornig with sonar at 11 nm and damn nuke comes directly in my head :DL

A Destroyer detects me... Full Speed... Hello Destroyer I am Faster as you..:rotfl2:

In the Run i let Fishes ( not tke skval) swim, Stop Engines , the Fishes homing in and a Battleship and the Destroyer goes BOOM:haha:

I also have this problem, but only on the US version of the sub. Now, I'm still re-learning how to mod (its been a couple of years now), but after having a look through the sub's config and data files, it looks like the problem might be that the US version is calling on sensors that only exist in the German sensor file. This is supported by the fact that the German version is not deaf / blind.

JH, does any of this make any sense to you? And if so, I wonder if you might be willing to put together a fix?

the game is not made for nuclear ships, go to options> gameplay settings and modify settings for batteries, O2 and fuel :)

Hello. I injected the game with the mod enabler and dame starts normally but will not get past the load screen for the main menu. Error pops up data/menu/data/black80.tga not found. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you have 1.5 U-boat missions version of game, i don't know if alfa works in 1.4

you use other mods with alfa?
Verify if you have sailors in the reactor compartment, maybe that's the problem :salute:

first of all you should disable all mods with jsgme. than, open your silent hunter 4 main directory aka "Drive/Programms(X86)/Ubisoft/silent hunter 4/. mark the "MODS"-folder and copy it e.g to your desktop. afterwards, uninstall silent hunter 4 and delete the main folder as well if it is still in existance. reinstall the game, install the uboat-addon if not installed yet and install jsgme. copy the "MODS" folder back into the main directory. make sure no other mods are enabled besides the "ALFA", which proper designation is "ALFA US_GE " link: http://www.gamefront.com/files/21152569/Alfa_US_GE_zip

It's in german by defaut but you can change language to english: go to alfa US_GE folder. Go to data->menu folder. Replace the original menu.txt file with menu_US.txt file. Remember to rename menu_US into menu. That it.
