Hi,fromhell.:salute:
I have seen Yours raw.file. Imposing of a new layer on the basic is not enough. Raw.file has exact value of a gradient. The slightest change of tone attracts the big problems. All outlines Map vary.
The main complexity also consists in it for entering of any changes. I already about it wrote. It is necessary to adhere to exact values of colour which are present at it. I wish to "underline" - value of colour which are present at it !!!
It is very difficult. To it I so long introduce in raw. file "MQK".
It not criticism. It is council.:DL
(I use translator Google. I hope, that you have understood me).

Hi.
If You have decided to work with raw.file. The first, it is necessary to divide Map into two Layers. One Layer - Water, another - the Earth. When you will have an exact border you can safely work. In this file Water - a gradient from Black to Grey, and the earth - a gradient from Grey to White. It is important not to confuse it. The difference between Water and the Earth makes one Grey pixel. It is difficult for finding, but it is possible... :yep:

... Has forgotten to tell.
I with pleasure would transfer to You Map1 in a format psd. But, unfortunately at me it is not present, as well as all another, that I did for SH5. My sonny has formatted to me a working disk and all information was gone for ever. By miracle remained raw. file Map2. It was in game SH5. I had to restore a little it.

Hi, Trevally.:salute:
I hope You will write "tasks" and will inhale in "MQK" a life.

Well at least you tried fromhell, I never tried your map mod but I am enjoying the IX boat and one ship one torpedo mods of yours, just what I need when on long distance patrols in the Caribbean. :DL

You never fail, you just learn how not to do something

There are those that try and don't succeed. There are those that try and do succeed. Both of them learned something. Then there are those that don't try. They didn't learn anything

You don't want to know how many times I've tried things over and over just to get one little piece of information from a file.....it would be classified as clinical insanity (doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result) :D

Excuse fromhell, but I wished to help to understand to You it raw.file. That you would know from what to begin without loss of personal time in the empty. Probably it was necessary to keep silent simply?:dead:
I wanted to direct your desire in a correct direction. As has told TDW, we spend much time for studying of these files and as they work. And I wished to facilitate to you these knowledge, it is a little that I have learnt.
It is a pity, probably you have not understood me. I’m sorry.

The best advice is keep playing around with the files. The more you play the more you learn :yep:

Currently you have Land Layer and Water Layer.
Is it passible to add 3rd layer for Grid Quadrant?

What would need to be edited to add another Layer?:06:

In mission briefing we see shipping routes and ship placements. Can the Grid Quadrant be added in this same manner but displayed duriing game play:06:
Even known Mine Fields and other navigational hazards...

Hi,TheBeast.
You advise or ask?:06:
You not in a course, what I am engaged "MARINEQUADRATKARTE" (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=186641&page=3)?:DL

I planned had also an introduction "Grids with numbering", "Escorts", "Icebergs" and "Mines" with "Anti-submarine network" and even to change in a root colour navigating Map.
But, work over "MARINEQUADRATKARTE" takes away from me a lot of time. Of other simply to think it is temporarily impossible.
I am ready to help those who wishes to work over RAW.file.
But first of all, that all it to introduce it would be necessary to change some gradients of colour at Pixel level on all RAW. (Map). If it is possible so to be expressed (to liberate free Pixels for images of "Mines", "Icebergs", "Anti-submarine networks" and everyone another).

Oh, not so all is simple as it seems at first sight.
fromhell, I sincerely sympathise with you. I already know this raw.file.:O:
I wish Good luck!!!:salute:

Excuse, it is difficult to me to state the thoughts. I do not understand English without Google.
