View Full Version : Minefields
I just ran on a mine on my second patrol in the East Chinese Sea. Are the minefields in the same places in major mods (TMO, RFB and RSRDC) as in the stock game? Because this would have been a little to far out but something blew up the front part of my sub and there was no ship nor plane around.
Just wonder if one can go by that map which comes with the game.

There is mines in the game look in the mission editor there is more then you thin. TMO well that adds not only more mines but SUBNETS and they will freak you out they make a sound like woosh woosh woosh woosh it scared the hell out of me.

Thatr's no joke about those darn subnets! First time I ever encountered one was the harbor at Rabaul. It was late at night, I had the lights off for effect, and when I hit the net, I about jumped out of my seat, and had go to the head, and I almost didn't make it.

When you approached it did you here the woosh wooosh wooosh sound?
Thanks for all the input but back to the original question, how do you know where these minefields are during the game (without looking at the files in ME because this is rather difficult in the middle of a patrol). I have the map which comes with the game but are the minefields in the same position when you are using TMO, RFB and RSRDC?

I recall the documentation of TMO stating that the stock minefields were increased in density. Nothing about new minefields though.

I know how to get rid of it go into your sound folder and delete the two files named antisubnet_collision, then you won't here it, it's actually a mangled version of the collision because the net is hitting the ground.

Oh, I don't mind it. Lets me know when I've gotten too aggressive.

As far as I know, there are no "new" minefields outside what the map shows. As was stated above, they may be denser in quantity of the mines, but that's about it.
You might want to check the readme, as I think Ducimus addressed it in there.

We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig in our mine the whole day through
To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig is what we really like to do
It ain't no trick to get rich quick
If you dig dig dig with a shovel or a pick
In a mine! In a mine! In a mine! In a mine!
Where a million diamonds shine!
We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig from early morn till night
We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig up everything in sight
We dig up diamonds by the score
A thousand rubies, sometimes more
But we don't know what we dig 'em for
We dig dig dig a-dig dig
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
