Are you sure the problem is Open Horizons II?
I have exactly the same crash issues as you describe when I add the NewUIsTDC 680. I can remove every mod but NewUIsTDC 680 - and SH5 still crashes - remove NewUIsTDC 680 and the game starts just fine. Have you tried removing NewUIsTDC 680 and leaving the OHII mod activated?
Right now I am running:
Generic Mod Enabler - v2.4.0.145
[C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS]
Grossdeutscher Rundfunk
Environment Sounds
German U-Boat Internal Routine SFX
U-Boat Propulsion SFX
U-Boat Watch Crew Routine SFX
Cerberus62 Additional Merchant Ships 1.1 (Part 1)
Cerberus62 Additional Merchant Ships 1.1 (Part 2)
Cerberus62 Historical Ship Equipment 1.3
Chart Colour Scheme 4
Nauticalwolf's_Poster_Mod_v1.0
nVidia missing lights
Real Environment - Revision_2
sobers NO water drops V1
stoianm EnvWeather V1 SH5
A Fistful of Emblems v1.51
Ui-Boat V4.14
OPEN HORIZONS II_full v1.5
OHII v1.5 Full Patch2
Radio_Messages_1_2_0_UI_Boat_v4_14
OH II Campaign Radio Messages v4
IO_StrategicMap_4_3_for_Ui-Boat V4.14
No Damn Bubbles, No Damn Halo Mod
Less Annoying Stopwatch Ticking - LAST - v. 01.00 by AvM
sobers no footstep sound mod
Enhanced FunelSmoke1.2_by HanSolo78
MineField Map for IO_StrategicMap_for_CSPMagui
And everything works great - but if I add the UIs 680 - the game crashes just before the bunker screen. You might want to check and make sure OHII is your problem. My system is:
Ouad Q9550s 2.83 Ghz
3 Gb RAM
WinXP Pro

yeah,the trouble divided.
The problem derives from TDW UI TDC MOD.
Now the TDC UI MOD evolves and becomes a sopisticated version with validators,editors,patchers.....

The problem derives from TDW UI TDC MOD.
You probably don't have enough memory for it. Try opening the task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and clicking the performance tab. Watch the memory values as the game loads. You'll probably see you ran out of memory when it CTDs.
