Would it be possible for any able programmer to implement Stieblers comfortable OptionsSelector as a mean to be used as a "JSGME" type mod enabler without the hassle of manual modification of non compatible mods?

Imagine this: Any non specialist of the file structure could simply tick as many mods as he/she wants.
The Stieblers comfortable OptionsSelector like program would just adapt the different mods IN THE RIGHT ORDER, AND WITH THE ADEQUATE ADAPTATION.

Just talking my head off here. It would make mod enablement so much easier and this brilliant SH3 sim even much more popular. :woot:
Unfortunately, I don't have the skills to conceive this kind of program. :(

Stiebler and other reputed programmers maybe? :D

:timeout:

Now, please, please, please, post if you have something positive and constructive to say about the idea. No destructive/negative waves. Thanks

I'm not clear on what you mean.

Ok, I mean instead of OptionSelector, you could call it a ModSelector:

Just like for Stiebler's OptionSelector, you tick which mod you want activated from a list of mods in the ModSelector program.. and voila... the mods you ticked are activated in the right order. No need for manual tweaking of individual mods. No more mods soup. got it? :ping:

I think I understand what you mean.
Here's the way I look at it.......
IF we can adjust anything buy editing files?
It can be programmed.
That programming depends on how well you can compare and correct files.
With all the Mods out there, and more everyday?
I'd think it would be hard put to actually program this.
Not saying it can't be done.
But I don't even want to try myself.
