Hi sober,
I have noticed a serious problem. After instalation everything works just fine but when I uninstal this mod and want to play game it just crash to desctop after pressing "Load" button. Any Idea ?
How about make a medium fog visibility not higher than 5000/6000 meters ?
Best regards

And ??? Any Ideas ??? :cry:The mod enabler either corrupted your game or some other problem . It would have nothing to do with this mod . Uninstall all mods and reinstall the game and reinable all mods .

Hi sober.
Please excuse the offtopic.
Please find the difference between this two:

http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/740/afterip.jpg
Please, is it possible to use some of the files you made (within Dynamic Environment?) for my changes?
Regards.

Hi magic , this fog works best if using IRAI mod . uninstall and go into
IRAI_0_0_30_ByTheDarkWraith\data\Cfg\Sensors
change to this value
Visual fog factor=0.9
Thx sober, yes I use IRAI and IŽll check the file for this value!

Have been experiencing different levels of fog using this version sober and have to agree with the thread title. I've been caught up in a nasty storm that doesn't want to let me go and the heavy fog is excellent adding to the immersion and leading me to rely on my equipment just to know if anything is nearby. Good stuff and very well balanced.

pray heavy fog doesnt stay when using real navigation . Seagulls and the bouy bells are your best friends .
I doubt I'd survive the heavy fog very long if using real nav. Throw in the high winds, big waves and rain with thunder and lightning flashes.... I went up top around 5:30am and saw all this and thought screw hunting ships today, just have to ride it out.... its now nightfall again and the storm still hasn't let up. I use darker nights mod to, so yeah screw hunting ships tonight as well. I'm looking forward to another :sunny: day. :DL

Its way better than plotting yourself and no sextants or anything involved . You can add real nav anytime as long as you use TDW UIs . Follow the special install instructions included in the real nav mod .

Yeah, I've read and looked over the real nav install and considered taking that route for a campaign to add to the challenge. I never thought about pairing it up with Trevally's automated scripts though... that's a good tip. :yep:

I hope so , you can install it while on patrol . You will be amazed . You can see how my last few efforts were dissmal compared to this .Great job Sober . I'm looking forward to getting home from work and trying this. Any chance of some daytime screenshots to keep me going in the meantime?
Will we ever see fog bnks in the game? As it is, it's kinda all or nothing. I guess T.C. doesn't make this feasible.

Sober, in my opinion medium fog is still a little bit too light.
Hi magic , this fog works best if using IRAI mod . uninstall and go into
IRAI_0_0_30_ByTheDarkWraith\data\Cfg\Sensors

Visual fog factor=0.95
Sorry to ask this again but I'm trying to get the best fog/spotting distance balance. Is this change with IRAI still recommended if using IRAI? THanks
what i have found best now is
;Submarine player sensors detection parameters
[SensorParameters]
;Visual.
Visual range factor=0.5
Visual fog factor=0.9
thanks. I'll try this
Working on the water next .

Why are we using stock fog now, what is wrong with sobers best ever fog or the one in the dynamic environment mod?

I think, but I'll let Sober correct me if I'm wrong, that the reason the fog mod is not there at the moment is that DynEnv is being worked on to fix the grey sky problem and, since the best ever fog mod ties into the DynEnv mod, it might need some rework once that job is done.
No point in making further revisions to the best ever fog mod until we know what the final version of DynEnv is going to be like. :DL

I took it off so that someone can do there own fog mod and see how it goes . It is just adjusting with notepad and you can adjust on the fly while playing the campaign . You have to use the campaign because i found that adjusting while using single mission gives a diffrent result in the campaign . cheers .

I'm not familiar with the grey sky problem, can you describe it or have comparable screen shots?

Your v10 folder seem weird Sober..A folder with data documentation AND mods ..and the mods folder contains the same mod with Data , but no documentation..:hmmm: But anyways thx for Mod:).

Yeah same with version 22 the pathing of the extracted files might be tricky for a novice. Anyway as always use "common sense" when moving files over to the MOD directory and ensure the data folder in the sub directory is the next child down for the mod to be installed OK by the mod enabler
