You could do a lot worse than downloading this free mod enabler for a start:

Actually imho it's 'must have'.

Thanks guys, I've got jsgme and GWX. The New Interiors is really cool...but it seems to be killing a lot of other mods:cry: I'll just keep tinkering..maybe one day I can play again:O:

For the bigger mods you'll need 4GB if you haven't alreadt and the patch to force your rig to access it.

I still have the starforce version..been so many years I had forgotten. The 4 GB patch won't work. What is the reloaded version? This is the first I have ever heard of it.

It was originally a 'cracked' version which has since been sanctioned by Ubi as the 'official' way to play without the DVD in the drive. Details can be found in this thread:

Thanks Fish, Instructions say I have to uninstall the game..:yeah: Here we go again! By the way, do you know of a decent landscape mod? The trees are awful!

One alternative is to purchase a newer Starforce-free copy.

When I bought it in a store it was ten bucks, and still the best money I ever spent, game-wise anyway. Use the link in my sig and Neal will get a (tiny) piece of the action. :sunny:

Sorry Steve .. already patched it this morning. I can't believe I waited 6 years to do this! Is that slack or what???

Now you need to the start menu and do a search for Starforce. A year after I installed the SF-free version someone told me to do that. You know what? Still in the registry.

I used the sfdrvrem.exe. removal thing..search turned up nothing. Now I am going through my mod folder trying to organize, smoke, water, flags, sounds...it's overwhelming:haha:

Yup, it's definitely a work in progress. Just when I think my game is finally 'set,' I discover a whole new can of worms to get into. I'm not complaining mind you as it keeps me busy, plus I enjoy the quest (for the perfect game) just as much (if not more :03:) then actually playing.

I am using a 42" TV for a monitor, is there no way around the HDMI cable widescreen issue?? If not I guess I'll just have to sit closer.:hmmm:

My monitor is connected via HDMI and I haven't had any issues with the display, is the "widescreen issue" related to certain gfx cards/drivers or mods?
I'm using Conus00's widescreen mod right now but had no problems when using either the Res Fix or no mods at all. :hmmm:

Its ok now...must have been another mod that was causing it to crash. But there was no conflict in jsgme. Widescreen looks really good.
