I have seen that the watch crew used lines while on turm , not be washed over.
Can this be done on SH3 , when bad weather is applied.
My moddings skills are moderate and in any case not sufficient for such a task!

Thank you for your time reading this post.

@VON

Interesting idea mate, but begs the question, if it can be implemented can we have crew washing overboard if safety lines aren't used ? What d'ya think ?

Best regards.

Well , even if we can not make crew to be washed overboard , it will still be a good eye candy.

Or , maybe it can be done one step at a time.

Hi VONHARRIS,

I was surprised seeing your thread i did the trick on my typIIA CT you can see the hook already in the video.

The only problem is when the crew move the rope pass true the character body because we don't have collision body cloth in SH3.

The thing was easy to achieve i just had to link the strap and belt life support to the rain gear so it appear only when rough weather is on.

Will probably be able to fix it by animating the life line with the crew body motion since it is always the same animation loop.

Best regards Hans

Now I am surprised.
I must admit that I haven't seen that video but I will.
Thank you very much.
Edit : I feel a bit as a fool to ask this but I can't find this video.
Any help?
Edit No2 : I found it. An exellent job sir. Will that be the same for the IX?

Hi VONHARRIS,

Yes except that the crew position is different on type IX CT so i will have to do custom animation for each type of CT.

Best regards Hans

I like the sound of this. A simple piece of rope, but a big Immersion factor .

Oh , this is music to my ears.
Looking forward to it. It sure needs like a great amount of work to be done.
BUT first , be sure to heal your hand!

Hi mate,

It is not a big workload to achieve but like you mention i need my hand back in working condition, so many great features are on hold at the moment so i can't wait to be back in business.

We men feel so useless when incapacitated:k_confused:

Best regards Hans
