I stumbled across SH4 one day in the store and thought it would be a cool game.....remembering a Janes sub game i played long ago. Well this game is so much more realistic than i could have imagined. This game is great even with the large learning curve but well worth the time put in. I have gotten some great mods from this site and want to give TMO a shot to see how much i have learned ......thanks to all who make these mods they make the game so much more exciting

Playing stock v1.4 at 65% realism. Love to mix and match the various mods. Most fun is to just luff in the forum, learn from the Old Salts. My computer is not a gamer, so until I can sneak one past the Captain into the gunroom, the more advanced mods will have to wait. Thanks to all your hard work!

I've actually been playing SH III & IV, and would come here to get all my mods. I'm a first time poster, but have enjoyed reading everyone's tips here. I had to reformat my computer and lost my TMO files for SHIV and need to download them again.

Hi guys, this is my first post - I knew this day would come finally )) . I have been plying silent hunter series for a loong time - on my first patrol I went on board of SH2. I was patrolling on sh3, 4, and finally I storm atlantic on sh5.
This forum I find amazing - I am frequent "reader" - and I must say that this forum, and people posting here, are giving me such a positive energy to my games and my hobby - that I feel I will be they will never get me bored. (unless sh6 will appear one day..)

Even though I'd read that SH5 was somewhat buggy and a disappointment to some people, I saw that you chaps had built some great mods, so thought I would give it a go!

After reading a bit on the forums, have been playing with Magnum Opus plus the TheDarkWraith's updated mods, which have transformed my experience in the game, so thank for that TDW and to all who contributed. From some more reading, I've discovered the Open Horizons mod, so looks like I'll be starting a new campaign (again). Hopefully this one will have more realistic tonnage targets in it?

Hi everyone,
Finally installed SH3 after downloading it off Steam last year. I'm getting ready to wrap up my latest Morrowind campaign, so making this my next endeavor. Never played a sub or tactical sim before and I'm looking forward to the challenge. I actually came looking for mods, so any pointers for the best and most essential is certainly appreciated. I'm assuming there's some way to expand the graphics to widescreen format without stretching?

I for myself was a UBoot-Fahrer with the German Navy in the 80ties (U18,U24U17 and U16) for quite a time. Studied Computer Sciences after that with a hilite on CG and simulations

I loved to play Subsims from the beginning but my alltime favourite was SH3 with GWX3.0 which gave a feeling I partially knew. After a long time I'd tried SHV, which has nice graphics but is awfully quick and dirty, fit for money-making made. Only this subsimmers society avoided it from being for the dumpster.

I'd like to express my sincere congrats to all enthusiasts which improved SH to something which reminds me personally on a good time in life.
