This small mod for Light enhancement to the caustics,
for the following uboatsl;
NSS_Uboat7A, NSS_Uboat7B, NSS_Uboat7C & NSS_Uboat7C4.
The .gr2 and .sim files were taken from
"NewUIs_TDC_6_7_0_ByTheDarkWraith" and
"FX_Update_0_0_19_ByTheDarkWraith" mods.
Thanks to Kapatan Zur See and TDW See for their contributions to this
mod.
Installation
============
Install and uninstall with JSGME.
Conflicts;
============
SUB - KZS Hull wetness for U-Boats v1.0
It has been reported that stoianms mods were also in conflict with the "caustics" mod
Please report anyother conflicts or issues.

I made sure that the mod did not conflict with TDW's current mods.
I used TDWs mods to start with.
Also when I entered it in JSGME, there were no conflicts.
I'm going to wait before I do any other subs until I hear from others.

Itīs only for Sub Type VIIC. Maybe youīve another Sub Type (e.g.VIIA or VIIB) ? :hmmm:

It will indeed conflict with v1.0 of my hull wetness mod. Go get v1.1 with compatibility issues revised to prevent that here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=185834
Also, Vorkapitan, you don't need to include the *.GR2 main file in your mod as it wasn't in itself modified. Only the *.sim files should do, thus it will drastically reduce your mod zip file size from that 10Mb to just a bunch of few Kb :03:
Especially handy since it will become quite a big file and a waste of resources when you'll include every other subs :know:

Thanks for the heads up! I've already downloaded the newest version.
BTW, I did not thank you and TDW adequately for all the help you fellas gave me to get started using the Goblin editor. Thank you both. :salute::salute::salute:
Also, I would like for you or TDW to incorporate this mod with others you have created if possible.
I am starting to finish the rest of the subs that I have not done yet!

It was a pleasure helping you getting started with Goblin and knowing you're now able to produce stuffs for the community and investigate creative ideas. The better we are, the merrier it will get!
Nice mod by the way! Maybe add the link to my thread so people know that there's a new v1.1 of the hull wetness mod that won't conflict with yours and thus not think they have to sacrifice one to have the other? :03:

I see you've used the .sim files etc from New UIs 6.7.0... will this work equally well for someone using New UIs 6.6.0, or do we need the latest 6.7.0 to avoid conflicts/incompatibility?

The sim files are so modified in lots of mods that you'll end up facing lots of legit special requests, and since Vorkapitan's new on messing around with goblin, I found it amusing that he started his first mod with a .sim one, without being aware that he'd have to spend more time than expected in it :D

Vorkapitan, I'll see what I can do with this. I'll merge your mod with v1.1 of mine so both our mods benefits TDW compatibility solution (no sim files modified for incoming sim mods to be released) and put it as an optional download on my thread so people still have a choice not to use my mod and keep using yours for example or vice-versa.
I'll give that merged version to you so you can also put it on your thread and gives users a choice.
Since we only have two effects here, I think some kind of "mega" mod is not very relevant for the moment... maybe when we find out more stuffs to improve :03:

Any word on this chaps? Quite keen to give this a try but want to make sure it won't conflict with my slightly older version of New UIs... concerned mainly because of the addition of the snorkel in 6_7_0 might not be back compatible with 6_6_0 if the snorkel data is in the .sim file.
If all is good then I'll try out the new combined version as I'm already using Hull Wetness :)

There is a compatability issue because of "NSS_Uboat7c.sim" used in 6_6_0. :wah:
Dumb question .... Why not upgrade to 6_7_0 , then you would not have this issue? :know:

Ah fair enough, thanks for the reply! To answer your question - because I don't want the Snorkel coming out of the conning tower, so I'm leaving it for a bit. :)
