I'm looking for this mod, and Shift+o raises it and Shift+o lowers it.

Where you can see the Observation periscope down in the command room or conning tower room.

Pretty sure that feature is included in both FM New Interiors and Diving Duck's Open Hatch mod. :hmmm:

Thanks guys, yes you are all correct. I already had the periscope mod but it wasn't working correctly. Apparently my DD_interior.anm got mixed up with newinteriors mod. It's sending my periscope moving horizontal instead of vertical. I'll figure it out, make some sort of hybrid file

. Gives me something to do today.:ping:

Moin,

M4x1 and FK (naturally) are correct. The moving obs scope is part of OH and FM, introduced in OH_V3.09 for the first time.

Is the obs scope in the correct initial position before pressing the key command?
Is it in the correct final position after completion of the animation?
Does it slide sideways without prior rotation?
Does it rotate sideways (90°) and moving horizontally afterwards?

Regards,
DD

Now its moving up and down, This is the type IX by the way, but the periscope is sideways. The periscope is horizontal but it is moving up and down. I'm still tweaking DD_Interior.anm

I'll figure it out. The periscope is going down correctly. So now I just have to find the difference between Peri_Up and Peri_Down in DD_interior.anm

so itīs either the position key frames start parameters that are screwed or the dummy container holding the obs scope model.

Can you make a screenshot or two?

I think its the position key frame start params and I messing with them now. It says a rotation of Z: 1.57

So that must be it. I'm also comparing to other DD_interior.anim which don't have that rotation value. Will report after further tweaking.

But it can't be the dummy container if the scope goes down normal. If it was the dummy it would effect all the scope model.

Be aware that the rotation values are 'quaternions'.

If their similiar to the rotation values in 3ditor then I am fimiliar with them

Thanks.

I'm also getting the impression that SH3 can't load ANM files if they are opened in 3ditor, even if you saved the file. This may be the reason it's taking me so long.

LOL fixed it!

Like I just said above it was the fact I had the animation files open in 3ditor so when i edited them, though I saved them, SH3 couldn't load them.

Easy fix.

Thanks everyone for your help, especially Double D!:yeah:
