Game closing - Why ?

Hi guys,

I have some Problems with SH V. Thanks to the tutorials made by stoianm I started to play without auto TDC, and since his game is looking so great, I tryed to install some Mods too.

I'm completly newbie at modding, so i used stoianm tutorials again. But now my game is closing randomly and i can't figure out why. There's no error message, I'm just back to the launcher. Maybe someone has an idea.

The Mods i have installed :

P.S.: I already checked that C++ thing that may cause troubles, it wasn't installed on my computer.

To find out which Mod is causing the problem, I've disabled all mods and only activated Magnum Opus.

I can't close that window in the middle of the screen. I checked the Thread of the magnum opus Mod, but appeatently no one else had that problem.
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong :-?

I am no expert by any means but here is something you can try. If you have modifed the TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py in C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\NewUIs_TDC_6_6_0_ByTheDarkWraith\data\Scrip ts\Menu you can to put the orginal one back and then enable the mod and see if you problem comes back.

I have made typos when editing the options and it causes crazy stuff. I once put ENTER as a key instead of Enter and it made a bunch of menus come up. I have also misspelled false with fasle lol. That would be the first thing to check if I were you

have you tried the mod soup issues fix?


uninstall all your game mods with jsgme then remove all your mods from the jsgme "MODS" folder in the main game directory then delete the jsgme "MODS" folder completely, then run jsgme so it will create a new "MODS" folder then you just put your mods back into it and then see if the problem is fixed. if its not then you know for sure its a problem with a mod or a combination of mods

i just tried that fix webster, but upon doing so, a bunch of TDWs files that go in the main folder (pagexxx.tdw) were still there. So now im just reinstalling from scratch. probably burned 1000 calories just looking for the damn disk, found it!

gona follow sobers installed mod list again, since he updated it. What a guy eh?

I had the same error, it was to do with Magnum Opus, Try installing this mod from scratch, to prevent loading a corrupted version (i.e the zip file you initially loaded) you probably have inadvertently messed about with some of the settings and is causing a conflict.

Thanks for your help, after I removed all my mod and recreated a new config file for jsgme everething worked fine :)
