looks good but FDR and his frame are way to sharp and clear where everything else is dull and dim as a sunlight filled room would be so maybe i could suggest you add a hazy overlay on top of it to match the look of the room

FDR, you know he would have Rita Hayworth instead, but nice

It wasn't noticable to me. Maybe I'll fix it in a future update, but I'm not going to do it just for that.

I started to put another pinup there, but I got to thinking the office should have a pic of either Nimitz or FDR in it. I went with FDR cause he made more sense for when starting before or just after Pearl Harbor, when Nimitz wasn't in command yet.

Maybe, but since it's an office, maybe not. :)

I had to confirm it, but they also have a 12 hour clock onboard the sub. And I forgot the stopwatch is 12 hour too.

The graphics could be fixed, but I think the hands wouldn't point correctly then.

You should ask in that thread, but what exactly are you having trouble with?

thats what i thought, will you try to add it whenever you revisit the mod?

as to the hands being correct, IIRC if the guage image is the same size and the hands are overlayed on top of it so i would think it would still work the same

sorry. misread the thread. I'll deal with it later. I have other mod problems right now that are messing with my mind (or what's left of it.)

What I meant is that the hands won't point correctly. On a 24 hour clock they would point correctly at 9:00 am, but not at 9:00 pm (21:00).

As for changing the clock in the office, which off the top of my head is non-functional, I might. :DL

ummm, im not really following you there :06: but im guessing your speaking of the true 24 hour clock that uses 1 thru 24 and has 24 points on the clock face, yes that type of clock would never read correctly unless the files were heavily adjusted so 30 minutes equaled 1 hour to match the clock face.

on a 24 hour clock such as the one shown in your picture, both numbers are shown (9) and (21) for that position on the clock so 9 am is also 2100 you just need to judge day or night for yourself and this type of clock face would work correctly.

First of all, that's not my picture. Nuc posted it. :DL

Secondly, I couldn't see the extra numbers at first, but did after clicking the image and seeing the bigger version. So yeah, that clock face would work.

Ever since I figured out GIMP, I've been on a graphics editing kick. I'm working on another project right now, but when it's finished, I might take a look at the clocks. :hmmm:

Every government facility has a picture of the president. Maybe the CinC as well, but definitely the president. Of course that's true of the outer office, maybe not a private office.

Anyway, the FDR picture looks "right" to me, and I like this mod. :sunny:

That was another reason. :DL

Fred, for some reason I cannot figure out your mod loading instructions. For Girl in Every Port could you tell me what files to download, and what path location to put the file folder that are unzipped, where to put the photgraphs and were to put the exe. files. I have tried a variety of locations, none of which work. Also, same issue for loading screen files and exe amd officer's desk files. Make it simple please. Thanks.

For this mod, just put it in the "Mods" folder created by JSGME. Then install it using that program.

For my other stuff, everything goes in the "Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific" folder. That's assuming you've used the default folder setup when installing. Another way of saying it is that they go in the same folder the sh4.exe is in. The Randomizer mod, when installed there, will create two additional folders, "Background Images" and "Desk Photos." When istalling the Sub Images mod, you need to extract it the same way you did the Randomizer mod, i.e., in the same folder your sh4.exe is in. For the Captain's Desk Photo mods, extract to the "Desk Photos" folder.

If you're going to use my Randomizer programs you don't need GIEP. Also, hopefully some time this week I'll be uploading a new version of my Randomizer program. Instead of three separate programs, it'll be just one program where you choose what you want changed. I'll need to rewrite the instructions, and will try to make them clearer.
