View Full Version : Repainting U-Boat Deck Color

Greetings!

Having never modified anything personally in SH5 I wanted to try something simple and alter the coloring of the VIIC deck.

My question is what file should I alter and where exactly should I look in the games directory.

For start try 2 mod files like U_Type7_deck_01.dds found in data\texture\TNormal\tex

Same location for the con tower and sub body.

Many thanks. I will try that. I noticed that there are 2 of most of the files the difference being the capital N after the deck_01. I am guessing I should not touch that? And my last question is what is the difference between the deck_01 and deck_02??

Uboat7A_deck .........7B,7C,7C41 etc
Use photoshop .
Download the texture viewer to see what the dds is saved in .
http://origin-developer.nvidia.com/object/windows_texture_viewer.html
Associate the dds files with the viewer .
Download the nividia dds tools. (allows you to save as a dds file in photoshop) .
Install to photoshop/plug ins .

N is for normal map, google it. And if you mod the texture, you will also need to create a new N map. It can be done also with a nvidia plugin.
